That's a one way trip to wizarding hell, Potter!
>>223932073He shoulda used it to turn malfoy into a dildo and then stuff him up rons ass.
>I wish Malfoid loved me more than anything in the world!
>>223932073Would have been funny if it blew his fingers off like a 4th of July gone wrong gif
>>223932073He was already damned for practicing witchcraft
>>223932193Potter is kind of an idiot, you spend half the movies rolling your eyes at his dumb choices. The only time he acted with any intelligence was with the luck potion.
>>223932271Malfoy wasn’t portrayed as particularly gifted either. He was just a legacy student nepobaby. Malfoid sucks because it makes her out to be a girlboss type.
>>223932073Nah Harry don't want to be killed because of it.
>>223932299Sure but you're supposed to like Harry, you weren't supposed to like Malfoy. Which must have Rowling rowling around in her grave over Malfoid.
why is the super wand considered super ?Even a shitty wand can kill, so what's the appeal ?
>>223932299No, it doesn't. She's still a spoilt nepo baby in way over her head. The only potential "girlboss" moment is her involvement in Voldemort's death, but that should come down to her ownership of his and Harry's wands more than anything else.
>>223932425I don't even remember the plot to the Deathly Hallows well, that was such a mess. The Horcrux thing made sense, nothing else.
>>223932533even that was a complete ass pull, she clearly only made it up for the sixth book
>>223932605I dunno, Riddle's diary is in the second book and that seemed intentional enough. She had to have some idea for how he hadn't completely died yet and Horcruxes seem lifted directly from the idea of phylacteries for liches in D&D and shit. I'll give her that much.
>>223932666You would know, Satan
>>223932666 (checked)not really, the second book barely makes sense if you think of it like that. voldemort chose to make his first one out of a random muggle diary? malfoy was trusted with a part of voldemort's soul and had no idea what it was? he dumped this in a school with no idea of what it would do, while his own child was attending?
>>223932425That's lampshaded pretty well in the books themselves. The Deathly Hallows are all designed to kill their owners through overconfidence in their abilities.
>>223932073It should have gone in a museum.
>>223932791And apparently all just in the hopes that getting Weasley sacked would undo some random bit of legislation that we don't understand the impact of.
>>223932791i forgot that dobby also knows everything about the diary, which means lucius must have
>>223932887House elves seem like a huge plot hole in general. Dobby can just apparate and disapparate from anywhere, make things float, hold shut the gate to 9 3/4, bewitch bludgers and seemingly do anything, Hogwarts has a whole army of them in the kitchen and they just...make souffles while the castle burns down? Why didn't one just teleport to Voldemort and make his head explode?
>>223932791The best explanation I've seen is that the diary belonged to Myrtle, and Riddle took it as a trophy of her death, then made it a horcrux so he could make it happen again after he'd left the school. It fits his character as a serial killer with delusions of grandeur and completely unfair grasp of magic (which probably is satanic in origin and rewards evil pieces of shit with ridiculous buffs).
>>223933014the whole basilisk plot actually makes zero sense, like what the fuck was he trying to achieve originally, let alone the second time? he didn't want hogwarts shut down, dumbledore wasn't headmaster back then, maybe it was to prove himself to the pureblood slytherins but then none of them ever betrayed that secret? then in harry's second year he would have been much better off just leeching ginny or whoever until he could get a body without having the whole school in panic mode
Then Liz went there too given what she did to the golden army crown...
>>223933235forget it i'm thinking way too hard about things she never thought about, most of the books plots fall apart the same way, goblet of fire is just a farce
>>223933235If I were to be very charitable, I would say Tom hadn't fully thought through the consequences of unleashing the creature. He enjoyed the killing while he could, and then when it threatened to close the school, he changed his mind and decided he'd rather go to school than kill all the Mudbloods, so he just shut it all down. The way he did it couldn't have been what Salazar had in mind anyway, his vision was probably that you unleash the basilisk during lunch one day and it kills absolutely every Mudblood kid in the school all at once. Then again, does the basilisk have the ability to choose not to kill someone? Could it discriminate between a pureblood and a mudblood or does it just kill everyone that looks it in the eyes? Maybe that's why it had to be a terror campaign and not a school shooting. And what does the basilisk eat when it's not being fed by an heir of Slytherin?
Seems kind of gay to want to steal a girl's body. What was going on with that Tom?
>>223932425I think it like enhances spells and makes them more powerful and easier to do.
>>223933281Based anon dropping the niche reference to a completely unrelated movie and refusing to elaborate.
>>223933281>Selma-Blair-Wonder if she bit pearlman
>>223933235The second time he actually had an explicit goal, to get Harry and figure out how he managed to defeat him. Also revenge.I think the first time he just liked playing with his giant snake and it got out of hand when the school almost got shut down, so he set up Hagrid.
>>223933409>Riddle is trans>Harry Potter was TERF before TERF was a thingMaybe Rowling really is a genius
