>>223933024Agreed, it was indeed greatIf you like documentaries about non whites in their natural habitats I can highly recommend pic related
>>223933024I just watched this last night and one thing it made me realize is how much value there is in casting actors who look like normal people, or who don't look like what you would expect the character to look like. You see a character like carrot and the fact that he's not handsome enough to look like an actor, and that he's a random white ginger Brazillian gangster(I know he's based on a real guy, but still) triggers a sort of real life sense wariness and fear towards him. Like if in real life you found out that guy was a major gang leader, it would be extra scary because he does look like a real on the street person you could meet and if he got to that position without looking the part, that's a testament to how dangerous he must be.Insanely perfectly cast movie. LiL Z and Benny are literally mesmerising, perfect performances, and then Lil Z's kid version might actually be better than the older one. Real dissonance though where Lil Z was supposed to be ugly. He obviously and without any arguement wasn't.
>>223933024I don't like your attitude
>>223933024i prefer Tropa 1 & 2but if you really like it HBOMAX made a sequel series with a few of the same actors from the film
>>223933024I have a weird nostalgia for this movie.
>>223933024I don't really like this movie. It gives umbanda and post colonial african spiritualism a bad rap. Little Z was possessed and made into a little african demon
