How realistic is this scene?
how did he get all those explosives onto two ferries with no one noticing
>>223935162He’s the jokah baby!
>>223935162Amanda Mayward has a lot of sway at the docks
>>223935162Gave the dockworkers sloppy head while his goons snuck it on
>>223935162As great as the Dark Knight is, it's crazy that most of the movie is schemes from Joker where he just magically teleports objects into locations on the vague pretense of "uhhh joker has a ton of minions everywhere who can do stuff like that undetected"
>>223935043I always see people going "Why didn't Batman kill the Joker? he killed all the other villains in the movies!" These people forget that he didn't kill Scarecrow? if anything you can make an argument that he is Batman's actual archenemy in this version since he faced him multiple times and was the only villain to show up in all 3 movies
>>223935162I know people tend to forget with Nolan Batman but these are still capeshit films.
>>223935351i completely forgot scarecrow was the anarchy judge in tdkr until you said this
>>223935304Le Nolan realism
>>223935304Gotham was full of corruption
>>223935043>How realistic is this scene? The big nig not saving his own ass is fine, people all have their own motives. The other prisoners not jumping his ass to get the detonator is unrealistic.
>>223935304The movies are based on a graphic novel for 8 year olds from the fucking 50s of course it's nonsensical dogshit
>>223935304It's better this way.If he had to explain and show in detail how Joker sets everything up it would tedious and likely open up plot holes. It also wouldn't add much to the movie. In these cases, it's better to just say "he has the resources to plan and execute it".
>>223935463He wants atonement and decided that the life of the prisoners is inherently less then those of the normies. I cant say hes wrong but its unfair for him to make the decision for everyone on board alone.
>>223935304It isn't quite the Joker's minions. The mob hires him initially and they give him full access to all of their resources and corrupt officials. It's only when we get to the boat scenario that Joker has gone rogue, but by that point he's killed most of the Gotham mobsters, and taken over their organizations.
>>223935043Goofy as fuck movie with terrible dialogue, as usual with Nolan, some of the lowest points>all Dent-Gordon interactions>all Rachel scenes>the restaurant conversation (dear lord)>Burma story>Gordon wife's reaction to his death, Batman being there and her screaming at him>the bus that never touches the goon at the bank yet he instantly dies>the bus coming out of a giant hole on the wall at the exact moment and nobody giving a shit>Joker killing the black guy instantly with a small knife like it's magicAnd many, many more
>>223935043Comics don't have to be 100% realistic, OP.
>>223935488He doesnt give anyone time to do that. Prisoners are retards and hes the biggest one. As soon as he has it he yeets it out a porthole.
>>223935043Who would go to the effort of typing those subtitles out but not getting them rightWhat is happening
>>223935043The cops on the inmates boat would have immediately blown up the civilian boat and then blame the inmates.
this scene is when the movie starts to feel way too long
Very unrealistic. No nigger in prison would throw away the detonator. They would immediately blow up the other ship to save themselves.
>>223935304>"do i look like a guy with a plan?">says the guy who's been planning shit the whole movie
>>223936674>that's the joke
>>223936776joker is described as the embodiment of chaos yet his every scheme in this movie involve an incredible amount of critical success factors
>>223936833He is a crazy clown
>>223936850He is a beelzebub that poses impossible ethical dilemmas to humans in an attempt to mock God
>>223935463This. They would have beaten/stabbed him to death in an instant. There is always a minority of good people in the worst of places but they will always be overpowered by the evil majority. It's why prisons, police departments, corporations, criminal organizations, political bodies are so corrupt and evil. Way more sociopaths and sadists than well meaning people.
>>223935162All you have to do is wear a yellow construction vest and no one will ask questions
>>223936890No is da joka baby
>>223936890One never "attempts" to mock god. The slightest effrontery to god always lands as success, for a very simple reason. Only human error supposes otherwise.
>>223935610except gangsters and mobsters are selfish, they would immediately stop following a guy who isn't getting them more money
>>223936899Its actually worse then you describe. Most bad cops and for instance initially join the force with the idea of serving the public but their experiences both with criminals who they see consistently get away and mock them and the cynicism took their superiors that nothing will ever change for the better makes them despair and lose hope so they take the route with the least resistance and become the same level of bad as their partners.
>>223936979Exactly, the system changes the individual not vice versa. Principled moral people are kicked out at best or assassinated at worst.
>>223935357well they were made before capeshit started in earnest with the marvel shit in 2009.they also have a very different aesthetic, being nolan made.
NO MORE DEAD COPS
>>223936674That's supposed to be the poetic irony of his character in this movie, he says he's an agent of chaos but is actually a massive schemer with plans within plans. Meanwhile Batman is supposed to be an agent of justice and order but is entirely reactive to the criminal world around him. It's kino.
>>223935463Doesn't he do it kind of quickly, before anyone can react? My memory of the scene is that the captain and the prisoners think he's going to press the trigger, then everyone is in shock.Lawbreakers I've known have been profoundly low-IQ and have terrible actual-reaction times so I think it's plausible they just stare dumbfounded, possibly not even comprehending they're likely going to die.
>>223935043>You don' wanna rape, but you how to. Give me yo' white ass up. These men will kill you & take it anyway. No one wants shit on their dick. Give it to me. You can tell them I took you by force. Give it to me, & I'll do what you should've did 10 minutes agowow ok Nolan bravo I guess
>>223935304> So unrealistic it could never happen in real lifeFucking braindead zoomers
>>223937981NO, MORE DEAD COPS
>>223935168Unironically the only logical explanation.
>>223938533Easy enough with the states resources
>>223937981>NO MORE BLACK COCKS!
>Lucius>Prisoner man>BatmanThis film had way too many magical negroes.
>>223935043It's a genuinely moving scene.Human beings can sometimes surprise you in ways that are uplifting.
>>223935043Even the lowest criminals wouldn't defend the paedophile Donna Acton.
>>223935043>so what's it going to be? Gotham's finest, or Harvey Dent's collection of n-words?>Oh, and you may want to hurry, because the people on the other boat...may not be so white.
>>223938533>parking a vehicle in front of a building is the same as rigging up remote activated explosives throughout a hospital (during terrorist panic btw) or packing two ferry boats full of cops with explosives
>>223935304>>223936973Ledger's Joker is like a CIA instructor except his recruits are anons who are too bored with their lives.
>>223939515I'll CIA instruct this dih up yo ahh innit m8 >captcha: find the Star of David
>>223939548CIA is in another castle
>>223935162how did he get all those explosives into two towers with no one noticing
>>223935043This scene from the Batman movie?
>>223935641That was Guy Incognito.
>>223935162You see this is what was so good about the film 'Joker' (2019). It makes it make sense that the Joker could have so many people from all walks of life in Gotham willing to believe he was on their side, even after he obviously fucked over so many other people. This made sense because he became a legend for going after some people who really did deserve it. They fucked that with Folly of Two, which really should have been about how the Joker became even more popular as he made a mockery of the trial. This happens because the modern audience doesn't want there to ever be any reasons that bad people go bad, they only want to believe that people are born good or born bad. This means they can never have any really interesting or sensible character development, it all has to be the story of how a bad person was revealed as being bad all along, or how a good person was forced (or not) into doing something bad.
