Aside from the sickeningly sweet cheesey humor I enjoyed the concept, visual presentation and execution. I havent read the book so just cant speak on how well it stands as an adaptation

I just didn't dig it. I didn't buy the friendship, didn't really like the rock creature. Idk, I was puzzled by the praise, it felt like a stale Spielberg imitation to me without the magic.
