>>223938289>dress the fleshgolem that came out of an electrical socket in a big square green suit>give him a stein of coffee that says FRANKlynch at his best
Mr. Jackpots
after the second time watching the return i adopted dougie's method of just repeating verbatim the last words someone said to me at work when I don't give a shit about talking to them and it's worked out incredibly.i've promoted 3 times since I started doing that.
>>223938933started doing that
>>223938933they call it the solid snake method
>>223938933It's amazing what you can get away with while saying and doing practically nothing.
>there are people on this board who unironically hate Dougieembarrassing
>>223939287no idiot>since you started doing that?!almost anything could precede these words, and this would be a valid continuation of conversation
>>223939688similarly, it's amazing what you can lose when you do pay attention and get involved
>>223938289...call for help
>>223939528I love you David Hayter screenwriter of X-Men and X-2. Kiefer Sutherland isn't even worthy to suck your dick.
>>223938289
>>223940617well, you're making it a normal sentence. Dougie doesn't even bother with that and repeats some of the words
>>223938289>heeeeelllooooooooooooooo
>Call for help.>>223940940That scene was great, the way that actor switched from being annoyed about getting green tea instead of coffee to pleasantly surprised was awesome.
>>223938289Good Stuff for Good People
>>223939528the solid shake method?
>>223938289Henlooooooo
Jade give two rides.
make... sense of it
>>223939287started...doing that...
THANK YOU MR JACKPOTS>Thread themehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nyns3F1CgSQ
>I don't know who you are, but thank you for everything.
>>223941569Damn... he's literally me. Except without the banging wife, the kid, the house, the prestigious corporate job, the car...
>>223944561>30 jackpots>30 episodes of Twin PeaksI just got LYNCHED
>>223944596>Was enjoying Dougie scenes during the first half of the show, but wanted Cooper back>Middle of the show, stopped thinking about Cooper and enjoyed Dougie more>Cooper wakes up and I feel an overwhelming sadness that Dougie is gone
>>223938289call for help
>>223944616>prestigious corporate jobhe's an insurance agent at a small independent firm... you could get that job with a GED
>>223944686One of my favourite things in The Return was when Cooper would shine through at full force for a moment. The delivery when he says “he’s lying” about Dougie’s coworker is incredible.
>>223944686It was a hell of a ride
ONE ONE NINEONE ONE NINEONE ONE NINE
>>223944686That was the brilliance of it. Lynch didn't want to bring back Twin Peaks just for it to be a comfy and familiar family reunion. He made us earn those moments and got us to care about a retard in a green suit along the way.
>>223941569>>223944776Episode 5 was so good.
>call for help
>>223939528Snake method is repeating it as a question, Dougie method is as a statement.
>>223943778HelloooooooooOOOOOOOnew shoes...
>>223944756>he's an insurance agent at a small independent firmSmall independent firms don't have offices like that. He's a big deal.
>>223944822I miss that motherfucker like you wouldn't believe.
Reminder that Dougie is literally OG Cooper doing OG Cooper things>studying case files>solving crimes (insurance fraud)>drinking coffee>following his intuition>making friends>helping people Lynch gave us the best possible bait and switch by making him temporarily retarded. In an era defined by edgy and complex male protagonists (Walter White, Tony Soprano, etc.), Dougie comes across as kind of ridiculous because the original Cooper IS a ridiculous protagonist, at least for a modern TV show. It just doesn’t make sense to have a male lead as pure and wholesome as him, that’s why the Cooper/“Richard” in E18 is so different, he’s what Cooper would actually be like after spending 25 years in the lodge and confronting his shadow self. Dougie is a love letter to a type of protagonist that no longer exists in today’s world, and we should all be eternally grateful that Lynch gave us as much time with him as he did.Thank Dougie.
>>223944616damn, you got a 2-ride jade?
>AAAAH AAH AAAAHHHH OH GOD AAAHH AAAAHHHH AHHHH AAAAHHHHHWhat did she mean by this?
