the 3D shots ruin an otherwise great movie
>>
Wasn’t 3D supposed to be TNBT? What went wrong?
>>
There isn't a single 3D movie that's good

This was part of the brief early 80s revival of 3D along with Jaws 3D and Amityville 3-D.

The whole point was to push the sale of 3D TVs. Not enough people fell for the meme so they stopped with the slop.
>The corporate plan to push High-Definition 3D TVs (3D HDTVs) onto the public in the early 2010s is remembered as one of the most aggressive, expensive, and synchronized marketing hypes in tech history

Also higher ticket prices for shitty post processing 3D really pissed audiences off. Oddly enough, the later Milla Jovovich Resident Evil movies were one of the few franchises to adopt the actual Avatar 3D camera tech.

It was for almost a decade.

The shitty writing too.

Welcome (wellycome) in Jaaam
>>
I have a friend who cares a lot about this series, and it's always funny to me. He's a good dude.

PART 3

PROS
> The most comfy & casual feeling of the series.
> Chris while slightly less strong & resourceful than Ginny & not as beautiful as Trish is still a damn good final girl.
> Final chase/battle is great.
> Introduced the hockey mask.
> Jason's height, body make up, thick neck & slight hunchback make him much more physically imposing than he was in P2.
> Andy's death is probably the most iconic of the series after P8's head punch off.

MIXED
> Some feel the cast of friends was too much of a chaotic mismatch, I personally like them overall. They at least all have distinct personalities compared to many of the characters in 4.
> Some additions to the score feel kinda goofy but there are still some fantastic suspenseful tracks such as when Loco is searching for Fox in the barn.

CONS
> Less nudity than P2 & 4. Debbie's shower scene is overly zoomed-in, pointlessly cutting her boobs out of the shot for the majority of the scene.
> Less suspense/menace than P2 & 4.
> Lesser lighting/cinematography than P2 & 4.
> Chris's flashbacks to encountering Jason in the past is poorly done (he is wearing the clothing he stole that morning in the flashback, why would he let Chris live?) and adds little.
> Weak facial make up for Jason.
> No explanation for him healing the severe machete to the shoulder wound from the end of P2 which took place only a day prior. His new clothing never had bloodstains from it.
> The re-headed Pamela attacking Chris from the lake was retarded.
> The 3D gags are not too annoying but add nothing to the film.
> Debbie not noticing Jason hiding under the hammock or Andy's body above it while getting in was absurd.
> The hallway not being covered in blood from Andy being disemboweled.
> Rick's 3D eye explosion was extremely fake.

This movie was fucking terrible.
>>
>>223942523
3 isn't great. Jason getting his mask is really the best part. At least the 3D version let me see a yo-yo and juggling in full anaglyph glory.
The fact that this movie was bookended by the 2 best movies makes it look even worse.
>>
>>223948474
3 is weird because there's all this pg 13 shit like the wacky hippie couple or the gang. there's no on screen nudity either, it would've been cool to see 3D nipples.
>>

Fuck you.

>there's no on screen nudity either
No they do briefly show nipples in the shower scene.

Just watched this for the first time last night. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one or the second one. I'm not sure if it was the 3-D shots or not that did it, but it didn't work as well as them.
>>
>>223951026
Ginny's aggressiveness is what makes 2 really good for me.

Why the fuck would you abbreviate "the next best thing? Spell it out you lazy bitch.
