I would suggest discussing how Malfoid fits into the 6th book but I don't remember the plot at all.
I hadn't read book 6 since it came out, and not seen the film for years. Because by Half Blood Prince, things are too angsty for both of them and in Deathly Hallows, they barely see each other. So you have a romance that is really rushed at the end of the story, which is exactly what happened with Ginny, and at least Harry kissed Ginny in Half Blood Prince. Of course, you don't have to shackle yourself to the original story structure, but that's how it would be if you are trying to minimise changes to the series. Also in Book 5 you have all the shit with Cho going on, so you basically either have Malfoid and Harry kiss in Book 4, or write Cho out of the story from Book 5 onwards.Also for Malfoid to realistically be a Death Eater, you can't let her be too nice by the time of Half Blood Prince.
