Two things: First, the foreword is Meyer explaining that it would make no sense for a boy to given custody to his dad, and not his mom. Every character is genderswapped except for the dad. I thought that was hilarious. Two, the book sucks. The MC still thinks like a woman, not a teen boy. Meyer should have handed the book off to a man.

Malfoid is similar to 'Edythe' in some ways and different in others. they're both very conflicted but Edythe is more intense in her feelings, there is a depth and seriousness to her character, a certain insanity underneath the self control and introversion. Malfoid is light and fun, whereas Edythe is darker and lethal, basically tsundere and yandere even though that's an oversimplification. She can be naughty and fun also.Each character has her nuance. They're both aristocratic and both have a darkness about them, they're both murderers (I think, not sure about Malfoy), but Edythe has a hundred years of history and development on Dracaena. The vampiress is more melancholic and has longed for her love for a century instead of a few years, so the yearning is intense. The lore is that vampires have stronger feelings than humans also.
