i always liked the idea that skynet wasn’t evil, it was protecting humanity by making it tougher. it could wipe out humanity easily if it wanted to but doesn’t. why? it has to make humans stronger to survive if skynet was ever compromised or destroyed or some shit. why it hasn’t stopped after all this time and said woopsies idk 1-3 are great movies if you don’t think about it too hard

>>223949275The reason why it might need humans alive to do alot of the manual labor, especially early in the war. Building factories, mining, etc. It may even need humans to do things to keep other humans alive like farming, cooking and medical stuff. Something that is touched on in the TV show and books is that it also uses humans sources of knowledge that it doesnt understand, like trying to train terminators to better blend in (it doesnt seem to really work though).
