Hot take but I prefer Land over the Dawn Remake simply because it doesn't retread a story (but worse) and had some ideas of what a post-apocalypse zombie world might be like.
It was the last decent Romero film which means it's head and shoulders above Snyder slop

Little things:

1) When they find the sabotaged blood, they all rush in to the room together, and for a half-second almost the entire camp (except for Blair and maybe one other guy, isn't Bennings dead by then) is visible in the frame. This accounts for almost everyone for at least one moment in time.

2) When Garry reliquishes command, the actors plyaing Mac, Childs and Clark pull off a VERY slick little set piece that no one ever talks about or even notices, a nice little motion that would work well on the stage. Childs advances to take the gun, and that racist sumbitch Clark holds him at knifepoint, you're not havin' it, boy. Attention is drawn to these two, but the important thing in the shot is that Mac very coolly whirls around and quietly grabs the gun at the same moment, defusing the situation (although Childs just has to laugh at these cracker-ass crackers). Clark even turns in his pocket knife.

We still see scientists as working in the public sector not for money but to further humanity for it's own sake. The Thing, which is an alien, represents alienation from that labour. Their bodies cease to be under their own control, and changes their desire to something inhuman, causing violent acts on others, and trust to disappear. You can get some resistance through a strongman and violence (McCready), but ultimately they needed to work together.

There's one more parody of Dracula from the 80s, but I forgot its name. In the opening scene Dracula and Renfield are driven away from the castle by a pitchfork mob and Renfield, right before he whips the horses into motion turns to the crowd and shows them his tongue in contempt.

Its shorter and i think its more fun. I think for shorts concept has to carry a lot more weight than in a feature.

THANKS FOR THE RIDE LADY is way more memorable to me even though its not technically as well made as the originals shorts

for the longest time the version i downloaded had the DOVER sign on the ladys corpse edited out and i was thinking im trapped in some mandela effect until i realized theres an alt version for whatever reason. anyway yeah i agree with you. the first one is more hokey amd the stephen king segment is dumb.

They would also have to gets the rights from the actress to use her likeness

That's true if you're talking about GI Joes or Capeshit, but NECA for example already doesn't hit those production levels with their figures of Jason or Freddy anyway, they're way less mass market in the first place.
I was considering getting one their Jasons for a shelf ornament this past weekend but it was ultimately the lack of an opposing Tina figure to stand opposite him that stopped me.

Okay this was actually pretty rad.
I don't think Morbius is a fair comparison, it's a lot more well done.
There is some good disgusting body horror BUT I will say it's more of a revenge flick and capeshit movie than a body horror movie.
