It's really good. It's long. But it's really good. De Niro, Walken, Cazale in their peaks may be the strongest cast for a movie ever.

Not really. Its bloated, pretentious, and very boring. The central story revolving around these three friends before, during, and after the war is good and DiNero and Walken are great in it, but I dont think its really worth the run time.

~~shitposting aside, I like it, but it's a fucking bummer of a movie. It's alot sadder now that I'm in my 30s and so many friendships and people I had in my life is gone~~

Cimino had real difficulty knowing how to edit himself and what wasn't necessary to the story of his films.
