>start watching all the big Slasher franchises for Halloween>Hellraiser is passable for the first two movies, and by the 4th it's genuinely empty and retarded>make the mistake to keep going and watch some of the most bottom of the barrel BS with Pinhead tacked on>move to Halloween>1 & 2 are good movies, 3 is the most comfy/interesting, the Thorn Trilogy is boring, the one with Josh Hartnett is a good enough 00s Slasher with a cozy atmosphere>reach the Busta Rhymes one>it's one of the most boring and nothingburger movies I've watchedI don't get why people harp on the remakes. Zombie's Duology is at least actual films. And the modern Trilogy is miles ahead. The Friday remake with Sammy Winchester was good too, and same goes for Nightmare, although it wasn't better than the Craven ones.Slasher flicks are not even entertainingly dumb, they're just boring, and the modern remakes are miles ahead of anything beyond the original installments. Hellraiser with TrannyHead and the slimy jewess was also much more competently made. I don't get why everyone has to pretend old, ridiculous, badly made movies with shitty effects were some schmuck runs around in overalls and a knife are somehow better than the modern, more tight and well-paced incarnations of these stories.Anyway, personally the Slashers I enjoy at least a bit are>Halloween The comfiest.>NightmareThe most fun.>HellraiserI think it has potential and I like the lore, but it's always a letdown. And Scream as an honourable mention although that's a different thing. I watch that and Final Destination for the nostalgia. My favourite Slasher/Monster is Pennywise, hands down. Then Michael, I like his autism. Freddy just has too shitty a design.
MAYBE TONIGHT YOULL BE GONE
It laid a proper mindfuck on me to learn that Jason Vorhees is not, actually, the killer in the original Friday the 13th movie and is, as a matter of fact, practically not in it at all.
