I started the series when #12 was the newest book, and stuck with it until around #30, which is also when the series became largely ghostwritten and had a huge filler run until the final arc.I ended up re-reading most of the series as an adult and was surprised how much I enjoyed it, although around half the books in total are filler than can be safely skipped.
