autism is one of two things, either:
1) you are diagnosed as autistic by a professional (the tests that they use are purely subjective and were written about 30 years ago and so none of the questions are appropriate or apply to society we live in today). will is never diagnosed as autistic in the show canon.
2) you are considered autistic because the modern society is to only ever spend ones free time scrolling social media. to have any other hobby or interest can only be the result of autism spectrum disorder.

if the show was set in the current year then yes will would possibly be considered autistic because of his interest in roller coasters that we saw for one episode.
however, purely in the setting of the show, the year 2000 whatever, this was completely normal behaviour.
