The original actress got a cushy job as the female lead in one of those massively popular teen romance streaming shows. I can see why she chose not to risk that associating her image to an edgy X-rated indie movie about old west pagans with full frontal nudity and (maybe) unsimulated sex. Especially when Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett and Selena Gomez in supporting roles will just hog the spotlight anyway.
The Brutalist was one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen.
