Matthew Perry just isn't a very interesting person. He wasn't especially noteworthy and he didn't die in any interesting circumstances. I turned the documentary off after two episodes. They didn't get any of the other Friends to talk about him, just a bunch of nobodies. They misrepresented his debate with Mr. Hitchens to make him appear victorious.

It's not that hollywood drug addicts dying can't be interesting. Chris Farley's documentary was very good and emotionally resonating. Matthew Perry, enh....

he's dead?
>>
>>224014716
I’m gonna take a wild guess. it starts with that same dramatic shot of someone describing Matthew as this extraordinary 1 in a billion person, loved and respected by everyone
>>

he overdosed in his bathtub. here's a medical protip for you: drugs are bad but they're even worse in hot water.

You would think a drug addict might know something like that. Anyway the important thing about this post is that I think I'm going to start an internet urban legend that the Friends will all die in the order they last spoke on the show. Matthew Perry had the final line so he dies first. The next one will be Monica, I think.
>>
Let me guess, it’s a Netflix documentary, so it’s something that could be told in a one hour long program, stretched out to four, hour long episodes?
>>
>>224014803
you didn't guess that at all it says netflix right there.
>>
>>224014764
he died because he drowned. it had nothing to do with the water temperature, you moron.
>>
It is pretty interesting though, notably all the doctors being investigated afterwards.

What about that time he forced Japan to open it's ports at a gunpoint? That was interesting

You're talking about Admiral Perry, that was a different guy.

Hot water is more relaxing. Easier to fall asleep in and drown when high

other people being wrong about stuff is like my favourite thing. wait no. I have a better line for this:

Could you BE anymore wrong?
>>
>>224014997
honestly sounds like a comfy way to go
>>
It's kind of interesting that that drug he got exposed to in the womb/as a kid/however the fuck it happened completely fucked his ability to resist addiction as an adult. he was quite literally born to lose.
>>
>>224015045
except tolerance raises your defensive ability against drugs. It's like a vaccine. It should have made him stronger. It's why native americans can't handle alcohol. They don't have generational resistance built up over thousands of years of drinking by their ancestors.

They're working on it though and I applaud their efforts to catch up as quickly as possible. only 1000 more years. way less time than it took us.
>>
>>224014716
He seemed like an interesting person I guess the documentary focuses on his death more.
Ive always wanted to watch that failed sitcom he piloted for about baggage handling in outer space, that seemed fun.
>>
I always say, imagine what it must have been like to be the firefighter/emergency services worker who finally found him. He'd been roasting in that hot tub for hours by that point. And of course he also voided his bowels when he died, so his turds and whatever soupy feces came out of him were just floating around the tub too.
>>
>>224015077
That's really not how it works. Tolerance is just building up a threshold for what you can survive/what it takes to elicit a reaction from a specific drug. Perry was given a heavy barbituate daily for a month as an infant. It left him chemically vulnerable to dependency, which is an entirely separate matter from having tolerance to a specific drug (which also would have certainly faded over the decades of no longer using that drug).
>>
>>224015142
You always say that?

Passive income is what killed him.
The friends actors make 20 million a year doing
Nothing,
The other ones have kids which give thier life enough pain and frustration to have meaning and goals.
I’m just amazed Jennifer ansten didn’t go full kook, since she is the only other one without kids

Yeah what's up with that? Usually cast members are quick to comment when a cast mate dies.

Jennifer is so much hotter than the two “hot ones”
Why is that

you must have a jew thing, courtney is handily more attractive face-wise.

Jennifer has always been overrated. Big nosed bitch

Yeah, Friends ended two decades ago. Perry’s career was in the gutter. Basically wound up a dead junkie has been. So naturally Netflix decides to do a three (!) part series on him. Which includes zero input from the five actors who worked with him for ten years on his only famous project. Pretty much see headlines in the Daily Mail everyday about some new sordid or “heartbreaking” detail about his life (obviously done to entice people to watch the series) and literally couldn’t care less.
>>
>>224014716
>episodes
What the fuck? I might have expected a short movie but they made an entire miniseries about him?
>>
>>224014716
He's linked to the Friends brand, which has to stay "clean"

Degenerate only wanted opioids at every meal; likewise, desperately wanted to thrive in traditional opium den or pro-narcos utopia where debilitating withdrawal symptoms and frequent constipation could be squashed with carrot cake & pedialyte (or some shit).
And he wanted to hang out with [equally-successful’ish] girls who also only wanted opiates and loved to suck his dick.

Bro was totally on target to be the real/next-Ryan Reynolds, but instead become a Canadian cult leader/fake comic/wannbe-Jake Gyllenhaal …MP just wanted to keep getting high

My dad used a similar excuse to justify his smoking. He said that because his mother smoked while pregnant with him, he had become addicted to nicotine in the womb, and therefore had a deeply ingrained form of addiction which we couldn't understand and which he couldn't possibly overcome. But if you ask me, it was nothing more than the rationalisation typical of addicts.

Famous people who do drugs with no real accomplishments are indeed not particularly interesting or worthwhile to remember. Friends would be better forgotten to the dust of time because it was utter shit when it aired and it's utter shit now.
Like streamers of the modern day before them garbage "actors" who had a big sitcom due to inertia and terrible audience taste should never have been famous.

It's because his doctors were privately talking to each other, calling him an idiot, pushing drugs use onto him, talking about ways to extract money from him
