The issue with this series was definitely traitor choice, since there's usually three, but they picked two to do the "traitors choose" twist and they picked fucking James Acaster of all people. If they picked three, then after Richard was gone it'd be Maya and someone really good. I think Bella would have been good, Kenny obviously good if he was chosen from the start, Jerry would have been fun chaos, Bash would have been alright, Romesh might have been a dark horse good traitor.

I think one praise I can give to the series this time around is the missions have improved. That head in the jar mission was actually funny, and the one where the traitors had to creep around as the rest wore blindfolds was the most relevant a mission has ever been to a game.

I said at the end of regular Traitors season 4, that this would be the peak of the show's popularity and after that series, the downturn begins. And it seems that it's true, going by the response to this series.

The game is played out, everyone knows the meta, everyone knows the flaws, the flaws are becoming more obvious, and I feel they've stretched the limits of what they can do with the game in terms of twists, without changing the entire game.

Its just gonna drop in popularity further from here.

Why don’t they include more actual murder mystery aspects like the killing in plain sight stuff?

It feels like a half finished show where they just leave it for people to randomly make guesses for weeks and then include one killing in plain sight games.

This show should be more like an actual murder mystery with murders actually being difficult and the politics that goes with it. If someone catches you or suspects you the game should literally be “I’ll fucking kill you if you say a word or my fellow traitor will” but instead it’s just everyone sits on their ass for an entire episode then everyone throws random accusations out at the end

This show should be so much better

How does the civ version contestants combat traitors who just shut up and be pussies like Bash and bring no attention to themselves?
