there's your first problem
>>
I use the term PUTA
>>

nice jak
>>
>"review"
>It's just retelling the story beat for beat
>>
>>224092425
I don't watch media related reviews or essays at all anymore
it's either some fuckwit sitting in a streamer chair blabbing off the cuff with no structure or point, or just them reading a plot summary with no added input or opinion
just an absolute waste of everyone's time

>>
>>224092425
Why is "prostitute" an offensive term? I get why "whore" might be considered one but prostitute is just a straightforward and clinical term for the occupation. What's the need for an alternative?

Gem

Who knows. People will just randomly decide that terms we've used for decades are suddenly outdated and offensive. They did the same thing with "eskimo" a few years back.

I don't get it. Is it not kosher anymore? You kids might not remember, but "sex worker" was forced upon us to replace "prostitute" and "whore".

Give me one good reason why prostitution is illegal in the US.

To protect your mother from making another bad life decision.

>Why is "prostitute" an offensive term?
It's like "retarded." It used to be a clinical term until everyone started calling everyone retarded. Start telling women they're dressing like "sex workers" and some retard will have to come up with a new word.
>>
>>224093467
I don't see how those are comparable. Nobody uses "prostitute" as a slur. It's always "whore".
>>
You guys are watching movie reviews? Random people on YouTube? You want their opinions? Why?
>>
>>224093522
>nobody uses prostitute as a slur
it's not a slur, it's a job title. doesn't make it any less shameful.
just like how jeet means janitor.
people can cope any way they want, but everyone instinctively knows being a janitor isn't a glam life. for the broad majority of them, it's a dirty, low class job.
just like a prostitute.
>women acting like they are the 0.01% of prostitutes who are actually high class
sure, keep living that delusion.
they lick ass for money.
>>
>>224093590
Okay, but how does saying sex worker make it better? The profession is still the same.
>>
>>224092532
I remember I used to say this and people would defend the slop by saying shit like
>well I'm not actually watching it anyway, I'm just listening to it while eating lunch or going to bed
all of YouTube is a waste of time now
>>
>>224092425
You use the term "mom"

i always thought it got popular to group prostitutes and onlyfans models together even though they aren't technically the same thing
>>
>>224094018
The difference is that prostitutes do actual work
>>
>>224093522
>I don't see how those are comparable. Nobody uses "prostitute" as a slur. It's always "whore".
Cross reference who's more likely to use crass insults publicly with their general understanding of 3 syllable words. That's why.
>>
Who are the ones calling them sex workers usually? My ex was 25 years old which is almost a decade younger than me. She somehow found out that I had visited whores in the past and thought it was horrific. I know this is just anecdotal, but she was a zoomer and clearly didn’t think of it as a dignified job. Is it millennial white women who are all used up trying to feel better?
>>
>>224092425
Kek my style is similiar to this and people love it. People love mullets.
>>
>>224092425
I mean, that's fine, if they don't act like it's synonymous with "prostitute".
>>
>>224092794
Need to distinguish between the whores who only tease and the whores willing to touch a man.
>>
>>224092794
The term "sex worker" includes stuff that's outside of walking the streets dressed in slutty clothing waiting for someone to pull up and make an offer. Dominatrixes, OF whores, porn actresses, findom, rub 'n' tug shops, that sort of shit.
Also prostitutes will usually have sex with whoever, whereas cortesan's only do it for higher class clientelle.
It's just more of a broad term.
>>
>>224093049
To keep the price of pussy up by making it illegal to just pay $50 for it.

>watching movie review from channel I have been watching for years
>they never show their face
>suddenly an ad read for some VPN shit where they have their full face front and center shilling how they can watch le Friends on Netflix even though Canada only blah blah

Are they absolutely required to show their faces for ad reads? It’s always so jarring
>>
>>224094364
Women want a guy who can pull other women without "having" to pay them.
Even though they want (You) to take them out on dates and spend money on them.
>>
>>224093062
I’m like 99% sure he was defending his OnlyFans slut wife by referring to her as a “sex worker” so yeah

>>
>>224095867
i thought it was unintentionally so, in order to remove the stigma of the original word, a typical example of the euphemism treadmill, but then i looked it up and it was done by bureaucratic californian drones in order to remove the tragic connotations and sense of urgency, permanency and need present in the world homeless. it was practically changed to dishonestly ameliorate what being homeless really is
