15 fucking seasons
15 seasons of being limply tossed into walls by the most powerful entities in existence
>>224097228I actually hated that the whole show devolved to a shallow war against GodLike... couldn't they come up with something better? The best seasons were the ones about the monster of the week by far
First 5 are giga-kino.Most of the others are terrible-to-mediocre, but enjoyable purely for the characters. There's almost always a Rowena/Lucifer/Crowley around to be entertaining and, if there isn't, Dean is always around. The darkness stuff was surprisingly okayish and Jack was a pretty great character 90% of his run (the 10% of being shit was when he had no soul).I honestly don't think the ending is even bad in theory. Like, the S5 ending is the true ending to me, but the idea of the series ending gets a lot of shit when it really could be much much worse. The choices make a lot of sense, it's just shown/told in a retarded way that makes it seem a lot dumber than it is.
>>224097582>>224097698The funniest part is how a show based on the abrahamic mythos has its best seasons based in pagan folklore. And the last season is literally a nothingburger, Yahweh 1.0 (bored boomer), gets fired, downgraded and replaced by Yahweh 2.0 (millennial), who changes nothing.
>>224097228comfy kino until the leviathan season. I couldn't get past it
>>224097582Eh, CHRISTIANITY BAD is something the hollywood types love. If it was a straight forward GOD AM GUUD DEVIL AM BAD thing it wouldn't have lasted 3 seasons.
>>224097228It turned into a fan service cash cow.
>>224097838Chuck was a terrible character and antagonist in general, outside of the first 5 seasons. When I speak of the ending being good in theory I'm not at all talking about how they fought God. I just mean the stuff after that.
>>224098093You have any concept as to how lucky they are and how many hollywood actors/actresses and producers would litterally sacrifice their first born to have even half of what they attained with their show? The problem is streaming is a dumpsterfire and cable is just political narratives and copaganda/medical industry propoganda for boomers.
>15 seasons of fighting demons and Satan and monsters and shit>dies by getting shoved onto a piece of rebar
>>224097228Yeah but thankfully the first 5 are good and all you need to watch because that's all the showrunner envisioned and he made sure season 5 wrapped up everything and gave a satisfying ending.
>>224098196Unironically makes sense in the context of the story. There's an episode on the early seasons that explains Sam and Dean actually die all the time but God just retcons it because they're his main characters. They have legitimate plot armor and it's gone after God loses his powers. The problem is that the way they frame it feels like he gets killed in his very next hunt, instead of a while down the line.
