I feel like Gladiator sequels could work if it were just a completely new Gladiator each time, with their own individual stories that had nothing to do with each other.It was so retarded to try to tie the sequel back to the first movie.

>>224097986a long time ago I saw a post either here or on xitter which claimed to have a leaked script for gladiator 2, I forget the details but the idea involved a grown up lucius fighting through some kind of political struggle in rome whilst maximus, now in the afterlife, is engaged in some esoteric heaven-war against the gods whilst also reappearing across different parts of rome's history. Honestly it sounded awesome.
