europe fought multiple religious wars over this dumb shit
free will obviously exists, end of story
except for cattlebug "people", which are more like automatons than humans. they don't have free will and they're the "people" that don't believe in it. calvinists

Free will does not exist.
Want proof?
Try to do something that you would never in a million years do.
You can't.

I just chose to reply to you ratshit post

You are so dumb, try committing a crime, you would never do that because free will doesn't exist
>>
Bold for you to assume there was any *why*.
More like autopiloting towards the doom.

>>224152347
one has the free will to not commit a crime

I never watched Matrix 3. Just Matrix 1 multiple times, Matrix 2 once pirated when it came out, then nothing after. I didn't watch Matrix 4, obviously, but only heard about nebulous and questionable meta-plot decisions...

I never heard about the actual quality. I did see people who I knew to be Matrix mega-fans discuss Matrix 4 at LENGTH, EARNESTLY when it came out. Then, like 2 weeks ago, I saw this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5h61bFgvcKM
This is the worst fucking Netflix-produced, Saban entertainment, Power Rangers looking ass, "everybody is ambiguousl", memberberries referencing garbage. It sounds, looks and feels like a high end SNL production or something.

I'll say, you troon out, apparently

Yeah they should have kept the fighting scenes out of the movie, they didn't fit. The first 40 minutes of the movie were the most interesting and should have just stayed that way.
They could said something like "The machines never fight Neo anymore because they always lose that way", a good way to make him seem extremely powerful, but skip those dreadful fight sequences. The way of keeping him stressed out was way more effective for their purpose anyway than fighting him.

yeah The Matrix 1 will always be the tightest little story with cool action, but for The Matrix 2 (and to a lesser extent 3), i can at least say 'it had some great action set pieces.'

i'm never going to feel upset by The Matrix 4, and it never seemed to piss people off like i think they anticipated, people just didn't care. but i can't even say there was some cool fight scene or even a solid OST that i can recall.

by this point, all the stuff that was groundbreaking wire-fu and VFX in The Matrix 1 is probably just a plug-in in After Effects.

As well they shouldn't. It was a middle finger to the studios for forcing it to be made, but not an insult towards audiences. It was designed to be boring and uninteresting so audiences wouldn't be clamoring for more. For all their mental illness, Wachowskis actually had some artistic integrity.

It's pretty straightforward. The machines can't actually built a perfect Matrix because no matter what they try there's always glitches present that cause a tiny percentage of humans to break the conditioning, leading to them waking up from the Matrix and being ejected from the system into the real world. Those freed humans inevitably group up and form a society (Zion) and find ways to re-access the Matrix, subsequently freeing more humans. The continued glitches eventually culminate in "The One", an awakened human who is powerful enough to manipulate the Matrix itself and rewrite the code.
The machines have had this happen enough to realise that this whole scenario is inevitable; they can't code a flawless Matrix because they don't understand what humans actually want. Instead of trying to fix the problem (which they inherently can't), they allow Zion to exist as a temporary solution; the awakened humans are of negligible threat to the Matrix until The One has awakened, and once that occurs the existence of the "last human city" has already conveniently corralled all the awakened humans into one location for the machines to exterminate.
The Architect explains all this to Neo and lays out that the previous Ones have all agreed to continue the machines' arrangement (reset the Matrix to a new version that will eventually see the same glitches, as well as reseeding Zion and beginning the process all over again) since the humans have no real way of defending themselves against the machines; Neo tells them to fuck off because he wants to save Trinity instead.

Free will doesnt exist because every thought in your mind is spontaneous. All random with zero control on your part.
>>
>>224153488
sounds like you're projecting
I can absolutely control and direct my thoughts
practice your willpower sometime, I think having testosterone helps so work on that
>>
>>224152347
Free will exists and you spend your whole life building up the momentum it provides. Committing a crime would be a serious risk to that momentum.
It would be like choosing to drive my car over a cliff

yeah tbqh i see the funny side. he (she, whateverthefuck) didn't WANT to make or finish the movie, it became some contractual obligation. there's even an on-the-nose line IN the film about how Warner Bros insisted on a Matrix 4.

maybe a genuine Matrix 4 could have been solid, but it was just not going to happen. the recasting sucked, while the main actors are simply too old for it now.

i'm just glad people are sick of postmodernism and no longer falling for troll/outrage still marketing. some day we'll just get another film that was what The Matrix 1 was.
