This is the part of the film that's probably made up but that's the point of his character.Nowhere in the film really sanitizes pedos, most of them are shown as creepy degenerates, the rabbi just coincidentally lashes out with a proper question "what gives you the right" but he's just a pedo throwing excuses. Then the last dude is there to expose the limits of the quest for showmanship: they failed on entraping him, he never actually went to have sex with any minor, yet they needed a big fish or the show would get canceled, so they forced the issue and he just kysed himself instead of being procesed probably because he was a high-functioning pedo smart enough to know he shouldn't be doing this.
