Because nobody below the age of 50 gives a fuck about He Man.

I thought the various toys were interesting but the show never took itself seriously nor was it ever funny. It was just kind of there as a constant toy ad.
>>
People are done with the 80s nostalgia

That shit overplayed itself in the 2010s
>>
>>224175115
Contemporary Hollywood blockbusters have two variants and they are both shit. Sterile, grounded and mundane rejection of cinematographic magic (The Odyssey/ Dunc) or self aware, dishonest parodies of themselves (Masters of the universe)
>>
it was made for the breadtube culture warrior and chudtube source purity crowd and noone else
>>
It was made by "people" that thought they were above the source material.
>>
>>224175115
It had a little bit of love, but still too much active contempt and some people involved feeling like they’re above making a he man movie. Contempt for a property appeals to absolutely no one for ticket sales.

Hmmmmm, perhaps we'll never know.

Action and comedy doesn't mix in modern times.

47 year old man here that loves the 80s.
I hope what you are saying is not true, but Im scared it is. I dont know what crypto is, I dont know who Sabrina Carpentor is, I dont know waht Malfoid is, i dont know what 67 means. I will take He-Man over any of that stuff.
>>
>>224175115
I watched this movie after taking a few gummies and let me tell you it was AMAZING.

Maybe you need to experience differently before calling it a flop
>>
It was too good and everyone is evil now so they only like evil, ugly things. Way better than Odyssey.
>>
>>224175115
Fag movie with a guy in a skirt and covered females.

how did you find this site?

I'm 29 and no one my age or younger has seen He-Man unless they were cool like me and got older VHS tapes as a child.

Most people in their 20s or younger just know He-Man from that internet meme, and even then I think that's fairly dated now.

Wouldn't surprise me if people in their 30s haven't seen it either (on average)
>>
Because it was an awful movie full of modern bullshit writing like everyone being awkward and not taking anything seriously, wokeshit, pointless isekai nonsense that doesn't fit the setting at all, horrible fight scenes that just consist of CG lazer beams flying everywhere and constant Marvel quips. Skeletor was the only character that felt genuine at all.
>>
>>224175425
The problem is not that they are self aware.
Is that they are ashamed of the material.
>>
>>224175115
Because the only people who care about He-man are childless man children in the 50s.
>>
>>224176544
This was debunked.
>>
>>224175115
wtf I'm gay now?!
>>
>>224175230
I'm floored people genuinely thought the fucking HE-MAN brand had any legs in le current year.
>>
>>224175115
Because their Marketing team was utter shit.

>But muh Boomer cartoon!
That's a terrible justification, as if the 1982 cartoon was the ONLY He-Man show. There are other franchises from similar timeframe (and even slightly later) who were more successful on the big screen.
>>
>>224175115
This needed to be a big reimagining (and i don't mean for a modern, female audience). They were clearly considering it at one point based on concept art. Maybe it still would have failed but i'll take that over what they produced here any day.
>>
>>224175115
It's not good.

>released on faggot month
this alone jinxed the whole movie, and the reason why it was released on faggot month was because of the jokes about he-man cartoon looking gay as fuck, the release date is a meta joke.
he-man is straight in the movie, and there is only one faggot in the movie, the roomate, he is obviously a faggot, its never explicity shown or said, which is how that kind of shit should be represented.
maybe the wizard-staff guy is also a faggot, but being called out as a creep makes me think he may not, as you can't call faggots creeps anymore in these times, even if every single one of them are creeps.
