How did fans react to this when it came out?
>>
Seething uncontrollably. Just like Trekkies today.
>>
i love Laugh Generators
>>
I haven't looked into Trek fans as I haven't finished the show yet. But man, it blows my mind that nerds were learning Klingon just to flex on "lesser" nerds. There is nothing interesting about Klingons
>>
For as long as Trekkies were a thing, I have to wonder if they really exist nowadays in the same capacity that they did 25+ years ago. Of course there are still fans, but it feels like the stereotypical diehard fandoming behavior has moved on to other properties, like if you told my some 30-somethings had an embarrassing nerd wedding, I'd immediately assume they did something with a Pokemon theme or in Hogwarts robes instead of saying their vows in Klingon or whatever

Klingons start to become interesting in TNG but really get engaging in DS9.

I bought it on dvd because I read it's hilarious. Watched it and it was just mildly amusing. What a waste of money.
>>
Who are bigger autists, Trek or Who fans? Not including fans of the faggy 2017 to present stuff
>>

Lifestyle nerds are few and far between, but fervent fans remain strong.

I'm up to ENT, I've found Klingons to be one note. Dishonorable barbarians who rant about the virtues of honor. But now that you mention it, I forgot the later Klingon stuff in DS9 was actually interesting. And General Martok is a bro

Fuck no, trek is dead
In any case, people don't yet as obsessive about media consumption as they used to

Probably tried to rape a child given that it's star trek fans we're talking about.
Maybe not as much a reaction as what they had planned to spend that Tuesday doing anyway.
