I was playing the new Space Adventure Cobra game. It's basically Metroid Dread if it was a linear shooter platformer instead of a Metroidvania-em-up. Which is apt considering how much Samus Metroid herself is just female Cobra, a blonde bounty hunter clad in (usually) reddish armor with an iconic arm cannon of her own, so turnabout is fairplay.But the opening level playing through Cobra's prologue and the back-and-forth between Cobra and Lady(I wonder where Metroid got that nickname from) just reaffirms the fact that Samus needs a consistent secondary female presence in her games to bounce dialogue off of instead of boring AI and aloof alien semi-deities.
