I really want a zoomed out version of that shot in the opening where Miko and Shiori are gently touching Hinako as she is half-submerged in the ocean water. It looks incredible, but the OP jumps between the three, so I cant get the full shot... I want this as my desktop background so bad.

So what do we think? The design isn't really that good at giving us any details. The first thought is of course that she is a monster, because she is super strong and can manipulate memories, but I feel like we can't dismiss humans completely. The monk who managed to capture and reform Miko was just some normal man. This impies humans are in face capable of using magic and beating monsters. We really are kinda lacking that kind of pure human powerhouse characters. It would make a lot of sense for Azami to ally with another strange human too. Especially if we believe that Azami hates the sentiment of humans and monsters gettiing along, it would make more sense for her to ally with a human. If she is a monster, then her weird headband might be a clue, but I can't really tell what the pattern is. Kinda looks like gaps with teeth. Someone suggested she is a Western Mermaid, hence looking like she wears Western clothes and is really pretty. But this is her human form so her being pretty isnt really a good criteria...That aside though, WW2 level explosives almost offed Shiori... modern weapons should be more than enough to kill monsters. Feels like if she was JUST trying to kill her right now she could just get a nuke somehow and blow her up. Feels like she actually wants to make her psychologically suffer this time.
