The movie run in Japan is finally coming to an end on the 19th of June. It was a good run with over 2.5 billion box officer revenue despite a limited run.There will be a final stage greeting for the final airing of the movie. Okay, let's talk about something a bit more complicated this time: How in the heck does the tech in this world work? No, really. Even something as basic as Kassen is very contradictory.So if we believe what we see in the intro of the movie, KASSEN actually has a HUD similar to games like Apex Legends. But in the movie we never see that HUD again. Of course you can chalk that up to movie vision to make it more cinematic... but that still doesnt answer the question how it works. We can clearly see that Iroha has abilties that are on cooldown. But clearly she can just use her ropes however she wants or the trick where she and Kaguya managed to ensnare Mikado wouldnt have worked. That was immersive sim levels of combining items, someting that was clearly not part of her moveset.Then we see that sometimes they use controllers to play KASSEN; but other times they dont use any controller at all. Even in the life sim parts of Tsukuyomi, you would need a way to move your avatar, no?You can see for a second Kaguya touches the space behind her ear, which activates the smartcontacts. So there must be a neurological component here, not just the contact lenses, right? Neural links would explain how they can do detailed stuff without controllers. So why do they have any at all?KASSEN also can be played... on a phone?? Without VR? Either phones are insane in 2030 or somehow this KASSEN instance is disconnected from the Tsukuyomi server. Also can a phone user play with a VR user??

This is just another genius detail I noticed, but during the Yachiyo Cup victory, the fish swarm actually creates a helix/infinity smybol. Kaguya's face is in the lower circle and Yachiyo's is in the upper one, with the ends fizzling out above her.It's the time loop. Kaguya is trapped inside it. This whole victory is firmly part of that destiny. But Yachiyo's future past these events is more uncertain. What an insane visual detail.
It's often talked about how superhuman Iroha is, but if you really pay attention to both the movie and the novel, it's actually beyond insane.So when Iroha went to Yachiyo's appartment and logged in, she legitimately listened to her talk for 2 DAYS STRAIGHT, as revealed in the novel. Iroha was sitting in Yachiyo's appartment, not eating, sleeping or drinking for 2 days. THEN she took on 8000 years worth of memories in one moment to the point where she almost forgot her identity an thought she was Yachiyo for a moment until Yachiyo called her name. And even after this, somehow Iroha is still able to talk coherently and encourage Yachiyo.Her body was at the edge of dehydration, sleep deprived and her mind nearly fried. Still prioritized doing the gay handsigns with her girlfriend. This is the apex lesbian. All bow before Iroha!

Chapter 6 of the manga came out early.I think overall it streamlines the KASSEN match pretty well and I still really like the art. But skipping all of Yachiyo's good parts is bullshit!
