The epilogue of the movie already mentioned a YC type body, which implies they experimented with replicating the Yachiyo avatar in real life first. For some reason replicating sour taste is the least effective. Maybe because Kaguya doesnt like it?[Neural Bridge: SYNC (on)]This implies the robot body is has to link to something for it to replicate the senses. It can thus be turned off. [Consent Flg: TRUE]This to me implies that Kaguya has to give consent for this simulation to work. If she doesnt maybe the system locks down? I think the reason why Kaguya and Yachiyo still exist as 'seperate' entities is simply because they are two popular characters voiced by different VAs and the production is trying to have the cake and eat it.Some parts of the movie and promotion felt very market-research-business-lead to keep the general audience happy and this is one of them.

The manga takes place after the lab scene but before the revival concert. We know this because Kaguya in the concert not only looks more Iroha's size, she also drinks and eats in the photos.
