Damn, is this one of the most overt major playable character relationships to date in a hoyo game without being outright stated canon, since Hi:3?Oh uh, Hoyo general too, I guess
>>4573213This has to be the gayest ship Hoyo has ever made outside of HI3
>>4573213This actual game footage?
>>4573245Constipation face
>>4573276Yep.
>>4573239There's that one yaoi ship in HSR but as far as yuri goes, yeah pretty much
>>4573244Is there anything in game with them or did another Elysia steal all the spotlight again?
>>4573291They even released these art pieces for them
>>4573293The gay AU fanfics basically write themselves
>>4573293>>4573294People are already making fanart of this
>>4573213its not gonna get better than this, but, im honestly ok wit hthat at this point. That was really sweet
>>4573304The only positive is Sandrone is still in Snezhnaya so we might still see more of them.
Thoughts on Tsaritsa?>original character, neither a Bronya or a Elysia expy>had a son (it's unknown how he has been "conceived")>that theory about her being the lover of the 3rd descendant
>>4573312I feel like her design is super generic. Its not bad and looks better than some of the other archons but for a 6 year build up its disappointing. Personality wise I really don't care for her. Its weird that I was more hyped for the Nod Krai characters than the Snezhnaya ones. No one really wowed me.
>>4573312I like her design, and I'm interested to see where her character goes. Hopefully there's more to her crusade than just angst over her dead kid and husband. If nothing else, a few people seem to have latched onto the tension between her and Ronova, which I am all for.
>>4573330I'm getting Ei vibes from her. That they'll brush all the evil shit she's caused and has allowed to happen because she's tragic and misunderstood
>>4573334I mean, that's not hard? Hell it's basically already been done. SHE technically hasn't done anything besides enable shitheads to run rampant in pursuit of her nebulous goals, which look increasingly valid the more we learn about Celestia's nonsense. And even she denounced Dottore when he went too far, and the narrative already kinda regards everyone else as having been forgiven for their more extreme actions in her name.
>>4573334Not the player, but I thought the story pretty much treats all Fatui beyond one or two designated assholes as the good guys at this point, making me wonder why this whole fuss about not letting them get the MacGuffins was even about beyond years-long padding.
>>4573344It feels like they simply didn't want to write the old Harbringers anymore. Columbina and Sandrone are so detached from their early portrayals it's amazing.
>>4573342Yet she allows the Fatui to use child soldiers and be absolute shitheads to everyone
>>4573334>>4573342>>4573428Accountability or any moral enforcement was already completely thrown out the window way back in like 1.1 when Tartaglia was not just allowed to get away with what was essentially terrorism and deliberately attempting to sacrifice an entire city fully of civilians, but actively ENDORSED narratively to the point that the game had the traveler decide it was necessary to defend his fucking reputation and "good name" so that his little brother wouldn't be disappointed in him or know he was a shitbag. Celestia conflict aside, it was clear from the start that any sense of morality or justice for shit that has been done was going to be entirely arbitrary and just whimsically decided based on "do we want this person who has done a bunch of fucked up stuff to be playable".
>>4573344Honestly the Harbingers stopped being interesting threats the moment Scaramouche became playable. That's when they ditched their old plans with them in favor of making them all likeable. It works with some of them like Scara, Columbina, and Sandrone, but characters like Arle suffer massively because that evil side is what added so much to her character (for me at least). >>4573416This has to be ragebait. A very poor attempt at rapegbait.
>>4573442What's crazy is the game still likes to portray grunt fatui members as irredeemable villains. I've always thought it was weird that fatui enemies still attack Harbingers. Genshin should add in a mechanic after Tsaritsa comes out where fatui enemies don't attack you if you have a fatui member in the party.
>>4573344To be fair, they never really did? Like, Venti telling us just recently he didn't put up a fight out of concern for collateral damage feels like a bit of a retcon, but I'm inclined to believe it's actually not given Zhongli gave his away as part of a deal, Ei gave hers to Miko who gave it away without a second thought, Nahida also bargained hers away without much fuss, and Focalors only safeguarded hers because she needed it for a plan, and once that was done Neuvillette gave it up in a pretty one-sided deal. Mavuika's the only one who really put up a fight over it, and she likewise needed it for a world-saving plan, and when that was done she gave it away to Nahida like she was lending out a blender. So like, if Nahida hadn't needed it first, she probably would have given it away to the Fatui the next time one came knocking. The conflict with the Fatui has always been more over their means than the macguffins themselves. Those conflicts were always motivated by the Harbingers themselves being assholes with personal vendettas, but as people constantly criticize, those originally introduced as outright villains have their actions treated as water under the bridge, and the newer cast who were teased as being even worse had all that retconned as largely baseless rumors.
>>4573451I wonder when they decided to do all this retconning.
>>4573476Well, they started just kinda brushing the international criminal acts under the carpet as early as Tartaglia's playable debut, Scaramouche they pretty clearly had his whole redemption arc planned out, but they still kept up with the attempted villainous framing up until Arlecchino's release, so somewhere between the two of them I suppose.
After KiaMei for CNY and a whole team around BronSeele, I'm curious to see what they do with Leylah and Senadina. The last chapter felt as if they design them to be yet another Honk version of Madoka and Homura.Honestly I'm okay as long as the game doesn't EOS at this point and don't expect much.

>>4573623I wonder if Paimon is getting sick because Tsaritsa cast some form of spell that impacts the Shades in Snezhnaya. Will the Asmoday theory come true?
