Man we were fucking ROBBED. Suletta is cute as fuck, just imagine all of the cute, soppy romance scenes we could have had. Quiet alone time where they cuddle after a duel, Mushroom head tends to her bumps and bruises, Suletta says something embarrassing and falls off the bed, etc.Sure was a lot of corpos sitting around and scheming though, that got plenty of airtime.
One other plot point that didn't get explored thoroughly was the revelation of Eri's existence at the end. Suletta gets rejected by Aerial and thrown aside, then discovers that she's basically a clone, and her mother is trying to resurrect her "real" daughter. How does she react to this? Indifferent, keeps her head down and studies, throws herself into school, then perks back up after a brief pep talk.Huh? Where did that character development come from? I was expecting her to roll into a ball of self-doubt and question everything, lose her sense of worth, feel betrayed, etc. Also would have opened up some good dynamics with Miorine. Something like "I'm just a tool for my mother's goals, so I should just obey her blindly" that gets rebuked with a confession.Did they fumble the last couple of episodes, or is it just me?

WfM is far from the best yuri ever, but what people hate is denying yuri outright (people don't say an straight show isn't straight or romance even if it's the shittiest show), and what carries it's fame is that people were expecting nothing of Gundam and were surprised with the first episode even mentioning gay marriage and the show being allowed to stick to their guns instead of breaking the engagement in favour of straight pairings. The gay marriage is itself going farther than a lot of anime originals, even if some of those originals that don't go beyond super friends or confirm anything have more ship tease moments. The more explicit yuri shows with more romance, confessions and kisses and stuff are adaptations. Sadly, the truth is yuri is still a genre that is limited in anime (either by anime originals being too controlled by execs or adaptations not having enough episodes to reach the gayer parts of the source) and thus if you want explicit yuri, you have to get into manga, LNs and VNs
