I tend to avoid repetitive songs that are too close lyrically to what I want the final song to be. When half the song is the same or has 1 word tweaked per line it's inevitably going to just sound like the same song instead of a parody. If I was gonna tackle that song like that I'd go for a specific theme to try to push the lyrics in a direction, something like "We're Not Gonna Bake It" from the POV of the evil cookie clicker grandmas, but even that it would be difficult to change the lyrics because most of the some is just repeating "we're not gonna X it" over and over with slightly different wordings. I think that specific song is just hard to parody because of the lyric set it has, I'm sure someone could do it but it's beyond me.
