>8 days till the next steam saleWhat are you consooming?
I just bought this book.In terms of games I'm not sure, I usually just bought H-games but those don't seem to be being made anymore?
>>721276696booklet here, is there a big event for sales like the steam sale for video games?
I am saving up for EU5
>>721276459thinking of getting cyberpunk but it seems to be mostly liked by trannies and sòyabòys
>>721276789just buy used books or download them
Nothing. I'm in Canada and games retail for $100. Even 50% off is $50, which to my boomer brain is the same cost as a new game. I pirate whatever I can instead.
>>721276696Don't you know HP Lovecraft was a filthy racist piece of shit????
>>721276891he's just like me!!!
>>721276825It's a semi-competent game, but it's filled with DEI mostly in the form of obnoxious and ugly strong independent woman giving you orders.
>>721276459Nothing, by now through previous sales I've bought everything I'd be interested in.
>>721276825There are two big problems with cyberpunk1) It isn't an RPG, it's extremely railroaded2) Despite being "degenerate" as you say, it isn't nearly degenerate enough for the setting, it's a very tame cyberpunk world compared to what cyberpunk is actually supposed to be
>>721276459Never pay more than 5 bucks for a videogame.
>>721276459i will be boughting bannerlord and not going top urchase another game until 2030
I pirate games.
>>721276862Randy game costs like 2/5 of a minimum wage in my shithole
>>721277108I personally think devs should be paying me to play their propaganda slop.
>>721276459What are you buying?>>721276825It's on GOG
>>721276459I don't play video games, that's why I'm here
>>721276891buying books now
>>721276696I bet that edition doesnt even have niggerman in it.>>721276891Yeah its absolute bookkino
depends on the discountI dpn't buy games unless the discount for them above 50%but I'm aiming for couple of dungeon crawlers and Secret Agent Wizard Boy
>>721276891Even better
Submachine: Legacymaybe Judgment or the Yakuza game with Secret Agent Kiryu
>>721277082>2)Truth, they only added enough 'degenrate' to piss-off cis people and called it a day
>>721276696>I usually just bought H-gamesSteam is the last place to get your v0.01 (renpy) (abandoned) fix
>>721276696What an utter shit of a spine design. Whoever made it should be ashamed.
>>721276459Need SMT VV
>>721277195Youre not wrong
>>721276459I havent even beaten 4/5 of the games I bought last sale....
Probably nothing. My PC is bricked to the point I can't used Steam and while I have a Deck, I'm quite content with all I got.
>>721276459are there even any good uncracked games out right now?
>>721278601That's highly subjective.
Nothing since I can't install anything
>>721278601How should we know? They're not cracked lmao.
>>721278601Well there is one BADASS PREMIUM game for PREMIUM gamers out
>>721276459Nothing. I was surprised that I even wanted anything in the Summer sale, and I completed all three over the last few months. I'll be playing Morrowind and a few retro shooters now so I'm content.
This still on the first Daybreak tho
>>721279007they still make these
>>721276459Why wait for the steam sale.
>>721276459if someone on steam is doing this, report them. not just to steam but to the government. it's illegal to raise your price and then immediately put up a sale that makes it the old price.
Probably not much because I'll be getting Digimon, Pokemon, Katamari and Yotei next month but I will check the deals to see if there's anything super good.
>>721279216I thought Valve made sure it's not possible to raise the price before sales anymore, like on an automated level?
>>721276459That's quick. Last year's autumn sale was in November, right before the winter sale.
>>721279121Great taste Anon.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghSuER5Sgh0
>>721279121>>721279562better than emulating the ps1 game?
>>721279623>the PS1 gameThat's the worst version of the game. Either play the remaster or the PC original.
>>721276696If you want a modern version of cosmic horror, I recommend the extreme horror collection by Lee Mountford
>>721279623This one supposedly restored some cut levels and shit like that.
>>721279623PS1 version is the worst way to experience it.Remaster adds cut content as well as improving UI and graphics.Highly recommended, just pirate it if you don't want to pay.
>>721279623PS1 version was by far the worst version. The Remaster added in cut content including lines, two(?) entire areas, bosses, fixed the PC controls, and other QoL shit.
How do you find good games on steam?
>>721276789your local library might do annual book sales, mine does
>two games in two daysI'm glad I just added funds to my wallet, I'm gonna need it
>>721279881By not searching them on steam because it's 99.9% shovelware.
>>721279838Does the game hold up well in 2025? I heard it's more about collecting stuff...
>>721276459>the internet has become so ridden with low IQ monkeys that it actually thinks there's nothing wrong with this hypocrisy>>721279216That isn't what it's pointing out
>>721279881>on steamYou don't. If you know a sale is ongoing, go to steamdb or something then do a combined sort: highest% sales + highest reviews.
>>721279942bro your hades 2?
>>721276459Borderlands 4 at 50% off.
>>721279881the hidden gems threads. it's the only time i regularly add games to my wishlist>>721280079i don't like most isometric games, nobody can do anything unique
>>721279881It stopped being possible ever since Gaben implemented the 100-bucks-to-put-your-shitty-game-on-Steam system.
>>721279881Hidden gems thread, devs shill their cool projects
>>721280109I fucking wish. I want to give it a go, but that asking price is insane.Even on CDkeys it's still like £40 for the base game alone.
>>721280109Not even 10% lol
>>721280079Zagreus's game was the most I was able to tolerate. They doubled down on the body positive diverse crippled gods of color shit.
>>721279991It can be tedious because you are required to collect certain amount of Dark Souls™ to progress, it's quite easy otherwise. If you don't like getting stuck because you missed one hidden path it can be rough. It has some metrioidvania qualities so you will have to revisit areas multiple times with your new abilities. I still highly recommend playing it because of the atmosphere.
>>721280326yeah what's the deal with randy game being so expensive? Also anyone here can recommend wuchang?
>>721280495Cause he thinks he can get away with it (and he did).
>>721276459Maybe Kunitsu-Gami and Khazan.
>>721280642>200k on steamyeah this shit ain't getting a discount anytime soon...
>>721279881I wishlist interesting stuff and then repeatedly ask anons if it's any good. Or vice versa.
>>721279085Bait used to be believable and funny.
>>721279942>early accessnigga... it looks kinda cool
You made me check my clock to see if somehow I had skipped a few months.it's not time for Autumn Sale yet ha ha
>>721281034I normally hate turnbased games because devs can never make decisions interesting. Especially fucking pokemon. But the mana system and the synergies worked well for me.
>>721276891>me omw to read lovecraft kino after hearing this information
>>721276789if you get a library card its kinda like xbox game pass or ps+
>>721279881By browsing the steam store?
>>721277634He mentions his cat in his stories?
>>721280381Hades 2 is embarrassing.
>>721276789You can't have sales like that because books are actual real things and not just combinations of 1s and 0s.Library cards are often free and give you access to whatever the library has.
What do you guys think about the ace attorney mega man humble bundle?
>>721279881By following upcoming guys on youtube who recommend stuff obviously!https://youtu.be/VGfnK7DkLXI?si=kmrAl6XxCO9H2LgW That's my last video, what you guys think?
Is the shit i will (maybe) get.
>>721279356happened pretty recently. maybe valve changed it?
>>721276789What the other anons said plus sometimes you can find old telephone boxes or book shelves with free books. Or you can buy used ones from places like ebay.
>>721276825Cp2077 is not as fun as you think. I hate to admit it but at the end of the day cp2077 is nothing more than a playable benchmark software and photography simulator
>>721276696Based, here's my latest purchase
>>721276696That's a super cute cover.
>>721276459Honestly nothing, I still have games stockpiled from summer and just played two long games back to back (Silksong/yakuza 7)
>>721276459probably nothing, i recently bought a small cosmetic package for The Finals, my steam wallet funds were spent there
>>721279942>Granvir releasingNoice, hopefully it's good.
>>721276459Literally me.
>>721276459I'm just praying pic rel goes for a dirt saleit's $14/$28 with all DLC right now but it's been like $2 for base edition in the past
>>721276459Maybe cities skyline 2
>>721276891>HP Lovecraft was a racistwtf i love tentacles man now ??
Should I play Hades before Hades 2 comes out? Or just wait? It's only $6
>>721276891What was his cats name?
>>721276696is this different from the necronomicon?
>>721276459Prototype.I also wanted to get Dishonered but the Steam page is flood with negative reviews saying I shouldn't give money to bethesda, so I will pirate that one instead.
>>721292284Hades is at least 20 hours of fun
>>721276459Last bought Fantasy Life I in May. I don't have any real games I feel like I immediately need to pounce on. Going to buy the next Digimon game on Friday when I get paid tho
How do I stop being addicted to roguelites? just finished silksong and now I'm looking forward to the next rogue... there is no escape for me
>>721295509Silksong isn't a roguelike.
>>721296123I know, I'm just saying that I always go back to roguelites after trying something different
>>721295509
I got forty bucks in my account. I wanted to buy a bunch of horror games, but there a shit ton of indie horror games or games with a horror vibe. I can't figure out what to fucking buy and what to not bother with except games that are too short.
>>721276459praying that this time is the time Fuga Melodies of Steel goes down to 8€ like it did for shitch and s0.ystation back before 3 came out
>>721276459Hopefully its an actual sale and not 10% off shit. I was looking at getting Elden Ring with the DLC I just don't want to spend $80 for it.
>>721296764Most publishers realized that people will still buy older titles without deep discounts. Only some big publishers still do -80% like EA and Ubisoft.
I might grab Stardew Valley or Psychopomp, nothing else I really need to grab after the Summer Sale.>>721296607If you haven't bought Faith: The Unholy Trinity yet, it's excellent and cheap, though only a few hours long.Perfect sort of thing to play once a year around Halloween.
>>721276459>What are you consooming?the store page for the upcoming sale https://store.steampowered.com/sale/tgs2025
>>721279881I like steampeek, it lets you find similar games to ones you likeit's not perfect but does help wading through the swamps of steamalso, the demo day threads are kino

>>721276459Thinking of getting helldivers2, I'm a NEET so I need a game with a progression system that tricks my brain into thinking im achieving meaningful goals. Is helldivers2 that sort of game?
>>721276459>consooming more gamesAnons, you don't need it. You have a backlog remember?
>>721280410>that icon FUCK OFFF!!
>>721298026We don't talk about backlogs around here.

>>721276459Thinking about aviassembly, is it good?
>>721297865>monster hunter storiesa friend of mine is a big fan of them, I'd say if you like a turn based rpg with some monster raising then go for it
Hopefully some Rocksmith song packs if they go on sale again
>>721276696I like nice hardcover editions, but anything considered complete for Lovecraft all look like overly ornate bookstore gift fodder. I ended up with that little Arcturus boxset because it was like $20 at HPB and it's complete, as far as I'm aware.>>721276459I bought Look Outside since it's on sale now and I don't usually play games so soon after they're released. It's nice to drop less than $10 on a newer release.I'm hoping Withering Rooms goes on sale. I really liked the demo, and I'm focusing on thematically appropriate games until Halloween.
>>721301736Look outside looks neat
>>721276891No wonder he had such a big impact on the world, similar to Tolkien.
>Just purchased Nier Replicant at historic lowAm I fucked? It's hitting $10 during the sale, isn't it?
Aren't you guys tired of repeating the same cycle of FOMOing shit games on fake sales and giving away your very limited accumulated currency for garbage?
>>721303642>square game>deeper discountlollmao even
>>721276459finna boutta pick up RE4..
>>721276459Probably nothing. I already have a backlog to go through and Digimon is releasing soon. I might grab 1 or 2 of the cheap deep discount games for $2-$3 if there's anything decent.
>>721276459>>8 days till the next steam saleFuck, really? I just redeemed the free month of goypass that came with the new laptop I bought. I was going to try and power through Expedition 33 and something else (ideally Metaphor but I doubt I'll have the time.) Now I'm going to buy six new games in the sale and get distracted.Speaking of goypass: apparently I've had $12 sitting in my M$ account for God knows how many years so I guess I gotta spend that on something too.
>>721276459Not much. My backlog is pretty well-rounded after last sale.
Im waiting for p3 reload with the answer to be for 30 bucks, motherfuckers should put in regional pricing FUCK sega
>>721303815Naw the only alternative use for my very limited accumulated currency would be on women, and games have less painful endings.
>>721303642Nier Replicant will never go that low, you're fine. This is the publisher that still sells FFII for $12 and is usually asking $20-30 for Forespoken, anon.Hell if they knew what they were doing Nier R/A would be in the $20-30 range and Forespoken would be $4.99 but if they knew wtf they were doing they wouldn't be Square.
>>721297865If you're thinking of getting Monster Hunter Stories, get it from the Fanatical Bundle instead. It's MUCH cheaper.
never spend more than 5 dollars on a game
>>721305418Thank you. Feel better now. Nier will take most of my free time for a while, so I will likely just gonna pick up the usual dirt cheap stuff on sale I always pass on.
>>721276459I just recently got into shmups so I want to grab some of these
Depends on the sales. But I bought some games, like Disco Elysuim, that I haven't been able to start yet.
>just finished rebirth today (100 hr playthrough)>have a playthrough of witcher 3 going on (just got to skellige)>have a playthrough of witcher 1 going too>started expedition 33 just today >just bought the ffxi complete edition, or whatever they call it, the one that comes with all the expansions, when it was on sale for $9 recently>still log in to ffxiv almost every single days>am only 2/3s of the way through a mass effect trilogy playthrough on xboneI have dug myself such a cavernous RPG hole I should not be buying anymore vidya for at least 6 months and if I try to someone needs to restrain me, with force if necessary.
>>721306665stop starting new games
>>721276459May try to grab Balatro.
>>721305716I think Replicant was on PS+ extra at one point but nearly all the squeenix stuff has been removed over the last year or so. If you actually wanted to own the game then yeah, you aren't going to see it cheaper.
>>721306895grab these balls latro
>>721306795Oh and I bought Divinity Original Sin recently too.
>>721303815>and giving away your very limited accumulated currency for garbage?I have plenty of money. It's time I don't have enough of.
>>721307459Sometimes I hope for another pandemic, one that I'll actually be able to stay off work for unlike the last one when I was a cashier.I'd at least be able to get through a Fallout game.

>>721308661I mean I would understand not wanting to do it for a first playthrough but I am nowhere near that young.
>>721306665You need to stop playing RPGs now before you burn yourself out (if you haven't already) and throw in some indie slop or just something different into the mix. There is absolutely no way you can keep up with that many story heavy games at once, take it one at a time and mix it up.
>>721276459I'm finally going to get Persona 5 after I've been playin P5x since global launch. Wish I would have bought it a couple months back when they had that JRPG sale.

Any game that lets me play as the mujahadein
>>721308996I'll be able to finish Expedition 33 I think, because I really like it and I haven't played it before but yeah, it's kind of hard to go back to Witcher and Mass Effect right now when I know what's going to happen next.

atm still playing BG3, just finished the first map, a lot more to go definitely going to play wartales next with all the dlc and take 100+ hours doing that
>>721310147Last time I looked it wasn't anything major so it's not worth giving atlas more money for a game you already have

>>721276825It's good and I've enjoyed it for years. I'm gonna get GTA V enhanced. I have already played it obviously but i want to re-experience it as the last time i played it was when it came out in 2013.
>>721318008Runs pretty consistent 60fps at low, 45-50 at med, 25-30 at high with fsr on for all.Bigger issue is crashing but that's not unique to the deck that's just the game not being optimized for fuckall. If you can get past that, it's fine enough.
>>721317851unlike a lot of companies, amazon still regularly updates even their FAR out of date devices (by force, you have no choice in the matter unless you keep it on airplane mode 24/7) to patch out vulnerabilities. So no, if you buy a new device you're gonna be waiting months, sometimes years between exploits. And more recently, amazon offered bug bounties to the exploit team in exchange for not releasing it publicly, so they're taking their easy 50k paychecks every time there's a new update, and claiming they'll release them "when the contract expires".
>>721276459the sales are so shit now so probably nothing
borderlands 3 and pre sequel as well as talesjust finished 3 on ps5 but pc has way better graphics and i wanna replay it after going thru all the others again
>>721279121>>721279838any other games like this one?ludokino incarnate
>>721320626read the comicsbut yeah it's just a generic action adventure game, dude. Try the legacy of kain series.
>>721320697im talking about those retro action adventure rpgs
>>721276696>I usually just bought H-games but those don't seem to be being made anymoreDid you just jump timelines? H games are doing about as well as they always have been but I admit 2017-2022 was a fucking hot streak
>>721276891>Don't you know HP Lovecraft was a filthy racist piece of shit????Wait until you find out what my cat's name was.
>>721276459I haven't played much VR lately so I might get a bunch of VR games
>>721320957into the radius 2 is shaping up nice if you played and enjoyed the first one. If you like extractionslop, contractors exfil had it's first wipe recently and is solid fun. Ghosts of tabor is getting regular updates.
>>721280109Fuck Randy I wouldn't piss on the greasyballed cunt if he was on fire.
>>721276459i havent cared about steam sales in years yet i just had a dream about about everyone i know buying a shitload of games for dirt cheap and finding out there was a massive steam sale going on.Did Gaben get access to 5G towers or something?
>>721321257He's putting out a big sale before the gub shuts down steam, no doubt.
>>721320908little sam perkins?
>>721321000It has been a while since I played any extractionslop so I might check that out, never really done a VR shooter besides messing around in hotdogs a bit
guess I'll wait until then
really I'm just waiting for it to drive down prices further for when I buy from a key seller off of steam
>>721321552Contractors takes a lot of the existing contractors showdown gunplay and just makes extraction shooter stuffw ith it, it's fine, it's polished, looks nice, and the new wipe actually brought a good number of people back into the fold. Tabor is definitely more defined and way more along it's path of development.I can also give a shout to "strayed" it's just rust VR, silly fun but by no means even remotely close to done or anything, just a handful of monuments.I'd say probably get into the radius 1, it goes on sale for like, $10 I think? It's really good. It's very, INSANELY polished, and you won't be burdened by the bullshit the company touted before dropping it to make the sequel, you should have a lot of fun.Other than that, blade and sorcery is always a good choice if you don't have it. It had it's 1.0 release not too long ago, I think about a year? And most major mods have updated to accomodate it.
>>721320861Not him but if you can handle some jank try Severence: Blade of Darkness or RUNE.
>>721283825>implying some moeshit 2-digiter like yourself would ever read actual books
>>721276459Probably just BG3 finally
>last time I bought a game over $20 on Steam was Madness Combat Nexus for $22 in 2021I thought Guybrush was memeing but he might be onto something.
>>721320908to be fair, his dad named it, and it was funny
>>721276459I want to buy fucking Satisfactory there were a lot of fucking good deals these past few days though, already got a lot of shit.Robocop Rouge City for 6 bucksThe BamHam games for like 3 bucks a popI was tempted to buy Isonzo for 4 bucks but that game looks already dead and probably will be by the time the next WW1 shooter comes by.
>>721326926It's always been true. You know in your heart of hearts if you want to spend more on something, but for me personally, over 85% of the time if I just take a week, I find I don't care, a big thing nowadays for me is that I feel almost pressured to buy early if a game is multiplayer cause it'll be dead, solved, figured out after the first week if I don't, souls games are particularly notorious for that sort of shit, and it takes a lot of the fun out of it cause I feel like I miss out on the exploration element. But I find if I wait long enough, eventually the spoilers slip out of my head, and I can buy the game for a few bucks instead and get to experience it all myself and then when I DO get stuck or want to find out more, the shit's already there.Just don't fall for the pressure.
>>721276459I spent like 4 dollars on a FOM game and I felt the need to refund it. So I probably won't be buying anything this sale.I honestly don't understand people that dump 6 gorillion dollars into games. The fact that shit like Borderlands 4 sold any copies at that fucking price astounds me.
>>721311437I will never not be mad at how bad the premise of a investigation game where you play as the cop and the killer got fucking butchered by fucking David Cage. This game is a fucking travesty and it's also the worst offender of Movie Game ever. Boring QTEs don't count as gameplay.
>>721276891Keyword was. He became a better man before he died
>>721276862Why are you only considering new-slop?
>>721276459I've literally bought all videogames I had an interest in like 5 years ago.>LMAO LE POORFAGI have an RTX 3060 12GB and a Ryzen 5 5600. It's not top of the line but it can run anything these days. It's just that today's games are trash
>>721276891I will now buy his books.
>>721279307Grow up anon
>>721330909if you didn't buy all the games from 2015 and earlier during the era of steam sales when they were half decent and regularly hit historical lows, then you're already fuckin fried, my guy. Most people who actually play games already have over 2.5k games just sitting there and have played through most of them,.
>>721276459After playing BL4 I feel like replaying BL3, so I will get that on Steam, since I played on PS4 back when it released. I think there is some collection with all borderlands games and DLC and shit. Maybe I'll get that one if it's a good discount
>>721279121I watched grimbeards video so I feel like I got most of the experience already
I already bought Town to City and I am enjoying it a lot, and Absolum is coming out soon. So I feel very little need to buy stuff on a sale. Maybe I'll get Look Outside or Amnesia The Bunker for Spooktober. Slitterhead is on my radar but I think I would only get it on a really good discount. If anyone can give me their opinion about Banquet for Fools, I'd be thankful.>>721276696Based, I honestly really like his dream related stuff a lot more than the typical terror from the deep stuff people associate with Lovecraft. I highly recommend that anyone who feels the same to check out Sheridan Le Fanu, he doesn't indulge in the imagery that Lovecraft does, but he dives into the psyche of people being attacked by their sense of guilt.
