Putting aside the writing, baby steps is just a bad game. Making a climbing game also open world with very slow movement speed is the stupidest idea ever. I played the demo and I think around 9/10ths of my playtime was just walking in a straight line over mostly flat ground to reach a place where an actual challenge was located

One issue it has is that what there's a trigger for a "falldown state" which is pretty arbitrary and seems to be based on multiple factors like foot angle and surface slipperiness, and when you trigger this "state" you lose all control over your character and just start ragdolling for a seemingly random amount of time. You end up with the feeling when you play the game that sometimes you're just randomly going to fall for no real reason. This is in stark contrast to Getting Over It, where you always have control over the character, so whenever you fall it feels like it's completely your fault and you can even try to save yourself. It just feels like shit, you should seriously try to demo first if you're going to say the game is fun to play, it's really really not and NOT because of the writing
