The biggest tip ive ever had is to not shop for a "gaming" chair, but an office chair, both are designed for 8+ hours of sitting but an office chair doesnt come with the "gamers are consoomers" tax and is the same thing for 1/5th of the price
My chair has since finally died after 10 years, its time for a new one. What chairs are worth buying these days?

Office chairs are not cheaper than gaming chairs. Because most gaming chairs are cheap recycled racecar seat crap.
Good office chairs are still over a thousand dollars.

Get a refurbished herman miller or steelcase

any normal office chair. my backpain went away i through out the 200 euro gaming chair and got a 50 euro office one. a simple stool is better than gaming chairs. total streamer death for propagating this shit

I concur, was able to keep my office furniture when my old job closed down for covid (and never reopened again) and I couldn't be happier. It's all Steelcase brand, ergonomic, durable, just had to swap the worn-out wheels.

go to a car junkyard and pick a decent condition seat out of a mercedes or a bmw or whatever you find comfortable (preferrably leather)
clean it
buy some wood, make some chair legs, put the seat on them
voila, you got the best fucking chair you'll ever sit in for 30 bucks
car seats are specifically made to be sat in for hours, and german car seats- especially so

not in my country
a "gaming chair" would be £700-1200
an office chair, which is the same if not better, more durable, and often able to have the seat cushion replaced, are probably around £200 - thats a "high end" sort

I once thought about, if I ever isekai into another life, making a chair company that isnt jewish, that sell premium expensive chairs at actually fair prices, but our chairs seats are purchasable alone for like £10 and theyre easily replaceable.
90% of the time the chair is fine beside a flat seat, but the upholstery is impossible to replace without slicing through leather or mesh that cant be easily fixed up.

pro tip for mesh seats, get a steamer, little handheld ones are fine. Blow steam into the seat to puff it up then blast it dry with a hairdryer (so it doesnt get damp and moldy)
Extends the life by years.

Love the idea, that's some pragmatic upcycling. And if you pick the right wreck to salvage from you might get a seat someone actually died in which just adds to the charm.

the fun part is that gayming chairs are all style, they look like racing seats but offer none of the bolstering or comfort, outside of funny harness holes there's no relation
racing buckets are super comfy, they offer extensive bolstering and a single perfected seating position, because you're supposed to be rigidly strapped into the car with a 5-point harness, but average gay mare won't tolerate that kind of "you'll have comfort the way we tell you" so gay mings sell them trashy fauximilia of the real thing and they piss and cum all over it

This anon is right
Just go to any cheap office supply shop and sit in the chairs. You'll instantly notice even the budget garbage is much better than racing gamer chairs.

as a proud steelcase gesture owner I can tell you that I sit on this thing for 10+ hours a day and I have no pain whatsoever so I recommend it

I'm still using the $50 officemax task chair I bought 20+ years ago. added a memory foam cushion and replaced the pnuematic cylinder with a spindle lift and I'm gonna use it for another 20

I broke many of my seats, I plan on just getting an adjustable bench. That way you can move your spine more as opposite of sitting around all day

Isn't this from the collection that includes the telekinetic laser de-gloving machine?
