I want to emulate some PS1 games. I'm reading the full list on wikipedia, but there are so many... plus most are generic platformers, F/TPS and kusoge... I need your help finding the good stuff. Dont recommend me the obvious ones like Crash, Spyro and Medievil, I already know those. Help me find the hiddeb gems, please and thank you.IMPORTANT: I dont like racing games, turnbased, roguelike or RPG.

>>721774572Action games were kind of shit on the PS1, at least 3D action games were. This was before games had developed the dual-thumbstick mechanics and Nintendo did the Z-targeting so nobody wanted to copy them. It meant that a lot of games just had awkward cameras and a weird way of handling them. There are still a few good action games on the system.Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is a puzzle-platformerR-Type Delta and Einhander are two really good shmups, Einhander being more unique with the ability to grab enemy weaponsThere's also Parodius, which is always good.Tecmo Stackers is a weird Puyo-Puyo-likeKagerou: Deception 2, and Deception 3, are a lot of fun: placing traps in rooms and then triggering them as enemies come at you to kill them off. I wasn't a fan of the first game, but it's on the PS1 as well.Monster Rancher (especially MR2) was really good, but I'm not sure how you'll need to set up the PS1 emulator to replicate inserting disks. This might be more slower paced that you'd like, if you already are not looking for turn-based or RPGs.Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen also has a port on the system. It's a fun game, but it's sort of an odd real-time-strategy game designed with a console controller in mind. I chewed up a lot of hours into it, but it might be like Monster Rancher and too RPG-ish for what you're looking for.Harvest Moon: Back to Nature was also on the PS1, but that's just a farming simPast that, Legend of Mana was a lot of fun and I sunk a lot of time into it. It's functionally a RPG, even if the combat is shuffling around a screen and having action-fights like earlier Mana titles.I know you said you don't want Roguelikes and RPGs, but the PS1 is where the Shiren the Wanderer / Mystery Dungeon games really took off. The actual Shiren the Wanderer isn't on the system, but Azure Dreams, Chocobo Dungeon 2, and Torneko: The Last Hope are.If you're willing to give a proper RPG on the system a try, then I'd say Saga Frontier 2.

>>721774572>>721778223Oh, I forgot to mention Poy Poy. It will probably be boring if you're playing single-player, but it's a fun multiplayer 4P combat game.
