Thoughts On Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky?
>>722347473I like it.
>>722347473quite possibly the only good pokemon game
>>722347473Best in the series. Fight to the finish is such a great song
:O
>>722347473I can't come back after becoming a human to fuck the whole guild so no, not a big fan
>>722347473goat
>>722348450Never really played these games but I always wondered, in these games does the fact that you’re a former human ever come up or play a role in the game? Like, is the overarching goal to turn human again, does anyone ever inquire about you being a former human, do you use said human knowledge in the game for plot reasons, etc. Or could they just cut that part out from the beginning entirely and it wouldn’t make a single difference?
I don't know a single person who likes these games and isn't a furry.
>>722349095I managed to avoid both the trans and furry pipeline from playing this game, I should buy more lottery tickets
>>722348950It features heavily in the plot in many of the games, with the player character either being blamed for alleged actions in their past life or having connections with characters who they no longer remember.
>>722347473>Dogfuckerslop

>>722350098You look like a perfectly normal Up Dog to me.
>>722350190NOOOOO! STOP!
>>722349897Always made sure my partner Pokémon and I were in the same egg group for that reason. You can either read these games as best friendships or friends-to-lovers.
>>722350442Me and my partner Pokémon are always both males so this does not work for me.
>go into mystery dungeon>see this creaturewhat do?
>>722347473I got Eevee as the starter Pokemon because I had no idea it was shit. Then the little faggot kept running away and getting killed offscreen and resetting my level. Fuck this shitass game.
>>722347473Peak soul
>>722350550That is why I said best friendships, too.
>>722350080I’m thoroughly convinced the reason we don’t get as many vidya spinoffs as we did before is because said spinoffs were showing up the mainline games and gamefreak got jealous. As a result they did their best to veto any and all vidya spinoffs from creation while relegating all the new ones to being cheap mobileslop>but what about pokopia?Difference there is that gamefreak has a hand in that one, so while it’s a vidya spinoff, they can call it their own can also guarantee it will be one of the worst pokemon spinoffs made
>>722347473I am replaying it as we speak with a romhack that includes a bunch of Gen 5-8? (9? I don't keep up, admittedly) Pokemon and I am enjoying it heartily. But man is it easy once you realize how good Seeds are. Or items that aren't just the Reviver Seed in general. I wish I could go back to being fucking retarded and slamming my head against that last section of Temporal Spire and Dialga just praying I get lucky and he doesn't Roar of Time me to death. Now I'm too optimized, I start saving Blue Gummis from the very start of the game and everything.
>>722350820Spinoffs have been replaced with mobile slop.Mobile slop makes TPC much more money than any spinoffs ever did. Also spinoffs could compete with the mobile slop.
It's fun playing the romhacks.I specifically remember one where the player character has anger issues and absolutely mogs Team Skull. That was funny.
>>722351040I ate the seed that maxed out my attack, then threw the sleep seed at him, then threw the seed that reduces defense at him and then burned him.It was very fun and dumb child me felt very smart like a BADASS TACTICAL GENIOUS!!! for pulling this off. Good times.
>>722348950Humans in the PMD world are canonically seen as a bad omen that the world will be thrown in chaos (even though they are brought in to save the world). In the first game you get run out of the village because they think you are human (which you are) and it's a significant turning point in the game. Pokemon even have myths of previous humans. The player is supposed to literally be you. The game has a personality quiz in the beginning that determines who you transform as (asked by whatever being summoned you there). But technically the player has amnesia after they get isekai'd and don't have any specific human knowledge (just the feeling that they used to be human). You could consider your meta knowledge of the pokemon franchise as human knowledge.I'd say it's substantial enough that it would be a little difficult to write it out.
>>722347473I don't like mystery dungeon gameplay
>>722351682Nobody plays the dogfucker games for their "gameplay".
>>722350820It's been all but confirmed that Legends Arceus was sent out to die and S/V was rushed to be that year's holiday release
>>722351568The PMD lore in general is weird. Unown letters feature in the Hidden Land (which Grovyle can read) which has its own implications while other "less ancient" areas just have Footprint Runes or whatever they're called that sound more like a "written Pokemon Language" since the Partner can read it pretty easily. As much as I would like to know more, the mystery behind it is likely far more interesting than whatever the truth could be.
>>722352483it's certainly not called pokemon answer dungeon
>>722352483>>722352647Pokémon RAPE Dungeon!!!
>>722351734Bullshit, even the gameplay does a good job being fun and balanced (at least in the main game)
>>722352815there's no point arguing with that anon. he entered a thread of something he didn't like and became angry, just for the sake of doing so.
It's nice we're getting PMD romhacks now.

>>722353261Any that simulate having a wholesome romantic relationship with your guildmate?
>>722353494The best part of starter replacers is getting to use some of the more broken Exclusive Items.

Everyone who plays these games belongs on a watchlist and should be forbidden in a 30 meter radius of any animal, wild or domesticated.
>>722353986Don't forget taking away exclusive items that belong to pokes you dislike and giving them to mons you like
>>722347473Furry cognitohazardNobody who played these games when they were young grew up normal
>>722357176Everyone who played this slop when they grew up now either wants to rape dogs or actually has raped a dog irl.
I usually dislike grinding in JRPGs but Mystery Dungeon DX was an exception, mostly because I had a Skitty partner with that multi-hit moves accuracy perk.>Reach level 99>Beat purity forest >Barrel through the walls in buried relic over and over to get stat up items and max out my stats>Grind stormy sea rescue missions for hours to max out my guild rankFeels good man
>>722352714Best I can do is fetish trap dungeon
>>722347785but PMD gameplay sucks>constant AI tardwrangling (where it steps, toggling items, toggling techs, toggling behavior to attack, making sure it keeps distance from bosses) shows that the formula is designed with 1 a party size of 1 in mind>switching skills and menuing is tedious and repetitive>escort missions suck donkey dick>late game dungeons are sadistically unfair. e.g. lack of wonder tiles means you're fucked if you face enemies that lower statsthe main game is fine, but the post-game is an exercise in boredom. especially the 99-floor and lv1 dungeons>whole room moves are fucking gayas much as nuPMD games suck, you gotta admit that the old formula didn't work well at higher difficulties
>>722358284PMD gameplay sucks big red eevee knot
>>722347473One of the best games ever released. The soundtrack is stellar, the art direction is really charming, the sense of adventure is unparalleled and what makes the game really stand out.

>>722359732It was the first game in the series, give it time.
>>722347473it's better than every single mainline & spinoff pokemon game to this day and I still play it frequently
>>722347473i like running destiny tower with my favorite monsthat's about itthe main story is neat but it's retroactively ruined by the postgame story
>>722361254>>722361338Only because you want to fuck the dog in the ass and not the vagina, that doesn't not makes you a literal dogfucker!
>>722361684>that doesn't not makes youGood morning saar!
>>722347473Genuinely the peak of the entire series. I really loved the side chapters you could do.
>>722361760It's true though. You are still a dogfucker, regardless of which hole you use. You don't have a moral high ground because you use the ass.
>>722347473the best pokemon mystery dungeon game evertoo bad they didn't include an arceus boss fight
>guild still takes 90% of your reward money after graduatingThey must have a Probopass as their accountant.
>>722347473The story is really good but there were definitely some major issues. Not being able to evolve sucks. Evolution causing your characters to lose their unique sprites/dialog sucks. Map generation is pretty lame, and there's way less item variation compared to Shiren the Wanderer.Still better than the trashfest that was Super Mystery Dungeon, though.
>>722362316I liked SPMD though
>>722362491You are welcome to your opinion but I think that it is dogshit and I do not respect it.
>>722362316>Not being able to evolve sucksevolutions are inconsequential in PMD. literally the same stats. only advantage is they start with comparatively high stats, but that comes with the caveat that levelups take a fuckton of EXP
>>722362229The Guild doesn't want you to know this but a single visit to the kecleon shop with gold ribbons + pure seed/trawl orb grants you total financial freedom from their trickery.
>>722362316This. Super Mystery Dungeon SUCKED! It was slop. Even fucking Gates to Infinity was less shit. I hate SMD so fucking much! I hope every single dev behind SMD fucking dies of leprosy.>>722362491Shut up you kiked dudebro!
>>722350820Its more like fans(nonfans) hate spinoffs and old school reviewers would review bomb the hell out of them. I remember reading magazines and old gaming sites and anytime a game got a spinoff, it would be torn apart hard. With shit like "BETRAYING THE FANS". God help you if the spinoff was in a different genre from the main game. Devs and companies clearly wanted to do something different and instead they get bombarded with this. Not saying most of them are 10/10 games but the review were crazy bias against any kind of spinoff back in the day.
>>722362561It's an RPG, retard. I want to evolve because it feels right for the characters, especially at the story point where PMD2 tells you about Evolution. Suddenly going "WHOOPS YOU DONT ACTUALLY GET TO HAVE YOUR BIG CHARACTER MILESTONE BECAUSE WE WERE TOO LAZY TO MAKE THE OTHER UNIQUE SPRITES :^)" is gay and retarded and immediately undercuts the entire plot because of how transparently obvious of a bandaid solution it is that you can only evolve you and your partner after literally the entire story is over.
>>722362748Imagine if evolution was a story milestone.Like, the first evolution happens before the groudon fight and the second evolution is right before the dialga fight. With the boss mocking you first for being pathetic and you then activating your SUPER POWERS and GETTING BIG in preparation for your EPIC BATTLE!!!
Honestly I like how evos are often cosmetic aside from some movepool improvements because I can use the earlier evolutions without kneecapping my gameplay too much. Ivysaur endgame is what I had always envisioned
>>722363001In the mainline games, evolutions often about doubled your stats from base form to second form to the point where NFE Pokémon are considered crap in competetive with very few exceptions.I thought Mystery Dungeon follows the same rules, except for being able to grind all your stats to 999 in the endgame.
>>722362910I want the boss to mock and berate anyone who evolves and highlight that real power comes from within and sticking to your guns. only a fool would sacrifice what they are for the sake of power
>>722363324Evolving is literally just growing up from a baby to a child to a mature Pokémon though. YOu are not actually distorting your body into something entirely else like Digimon.
>>722362229It's literally the same amount of money you'd get as a reward in the rescue team games, I don't get why the game was written in such a way to make you hate the guild....Unless (((Pelipper))) is the one pocketing 90% of your money rewards in those games.
>>722362748But I like that you can't evolve until you're fully untetherered from the main plot.>Time is FUCKED beyond repair so nobody is evolvingMakes sense.>(You) are FUCKED beyond repair so (You) aren't evolvingMakes sense. Partner also being fucked is kinda dumb, that one I'll give you.>GOD I JUST WANT TO FUCKING KILL DARKRAI I WANT TO THROW HIM IN A PORTAL AND STRAND HIM IN MYSTERY DUNGEON HELL WITH NO MEMORIES FOREVER SO HE CAN SUFFER ETERNALLY WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT EVOLUTIONBased. Though really I forget why you can't evolve after dealing with the whole Palkia thing. That one's also dumb, I concede. It's a good plot point up to there.
>>722347473Part of the golden age long passed
>>722363624it's based and redpilled. it teaches you the truth about unions and their outrageous dues. you barely get anything in return for your work
>>722363167The first half of Sky is designed around low power NFE mons so it's no problem. Second half, the postgame makes it fairly easy to gummi up your favorites to reach the same power level of fully evolved mons. To me it's the perfect game for playing around with all of those underused/forgotten pokemon and avoid all the same old tired competitive picks
>>722363727>>722360370
>>722363796I never minmax my team after competetive tiers but I always evolve them. It's having them grow up from child to adult and I like the visual progression.
>>722363917To me it's the 2nd evolutions that you typically see for 5 levels and then never again, or the mons with no evolutions at all that lack the stats in mainline games to ever be viable. Those two are my top picks for PMD games because all the other stuff I stare at for too long. I want my Hoppips and Ivysaurs to kick ass for once and these are the only games that allow it
>>722363324not everyone gets to be the face of the franchise and get their own special items to mog their elders, pikafaggot
I played as a MudKip
>>722364675I enjoyed playing as Dialga in the postgame and virizion in later titles.
>>722364730I beat Zero Isle Center by using Palkia and going through the walls.
.............
>>722364882Didn't wall walking drain all your hunger though?
did you cry when you first played it?https://youtu.be/aWHPbWIFEXg
>>722365712If you're low level you have to be strategic about it. If you stacked your HP high enough you'll suffer one hit per turn and walk your way to the end of the dungeon before anything manages to kill you
>>722366065everyone doeseven if they name their character and their partner something retarded, they still have to hold it back
I don't want any new PMD games because they'd just be 3D slopSprite art infuses a certain soul within these games
>>722347473best spinoff series than the Legends one
>>722353703In time my friend, in time.
>>722363796>Second half, the postgame makes it fairly easy to gummi up your favorites to reach the same power level of fully evolved mons.PMD's evolved mons actually don't follow mainline conventions at all. Usually evolved Pokemon are around the same strength-wise as their unevolved forms, but sometimes you have strange cases where the NFE is significantly better than the final evo. Porygon for example has 55/25/19/21/15 as its base Level 1 stats, while Porygon-Z has 48/12/11/15/13, so the difference in power level is pretty huge. For dungeons with meta progression instead of resets though, the ideal is to just leave a mon unevolved and dope it with vitamins/gummis/seeds.>>722366421I hate how the 3D games give mons stock animations based on body type rather than being wholly unique like in the sprite-based games. Humanoid and quadrupedal "dog" body type mons are the most notable for all looking the same.
>>722353261I loved the "after story" one where there's a new pair of bros and (you) and (you)r guild mate reincarnate as human classmates at school. Felt very fan fiction-y but definitely in the spirit of it. Had to shed a manly tear for that
>>722353261oh, I posted >>722351246I found it, it's called Explorers of the Spirit.https://hacks.skytemple.org/h/spirit
A new pokemon mystery dungeon game has probably been one of my most anticipated titles since I finished explorers of sky ages ago. It's such an incredibly cool concept that's really gone under appreciated over the years. The switch remake was a pretty fun retelling of the original games but I thought it was an indicator that there would be a completely new entry for the series and now it's been years since then...Pic related really encapsulates what I'd want for a new mystery dungeon game, playing as like a group of outlaw pokemon that have to deal with rescue teams bounty hunting them.
>>722366827>the 3D games give mons stock animationsbecause they're basically the same mon under the hood. the model is merely aesthetic
For all its faults, SMD has some crazy good tunes buried under the forgettable stuff. Here is my favorite :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGBRev1yt_M
>>722353494>>722359612based chespiniggers

Grovyle....
>>722362585
>>722364387based HoppipKING
>>722366065I did. I was playing the game just after a major death in my family to try and get my mind off of it, and it fucking destroyed me. I spent the rest of the night sobbing under my blankets.
Look at what they took from you.
>>722371534I'll be 100% honest. seeing those once or twice is cool, but having to head to each area to reassemble your party every fucking time after a mission feels like licking sandpaper.
>>722351568>(even though they are brought in to save the world)To add to this, in Gates to Infinity, there are a lot more humans than just you trying to do just that, but a cult is actively hunting them down to keep them from stopping the end of the world.
>>722371534I will never not be mad about this
>>722373786wow thanks for the spoiler
>>722347473Great game.Knowing how broken Agility is kind of ruins replayability.
>>722358284>>722359278Imagine getting filtered by fucking pmd lmao
>>722375427Outside of the final boss that game is aids anyway.
>>722375907I can imagine it, because it's a fucking boring game.
>>722375907I never said I didn't clear it. it was tedious as fucklv1 dungeons were aids with pokemon that were way overleveled and granted close to no exp, as if to dissuade grinding. purity forest's last few floor with the faggoty butterfrees sniping you across the room for 70% of your HP sucked. of course anyone with a brain would cheese it via abra's teleport like a faggot but where's the fun in thatand traps really suck dick. I can't imagine anyone enjoying having to press A for every step you take, wasting belly. worst of all, you constantly have to pay mind to your retarded AI companions that will gladly step on revealed traps.
Sky is the best overall but Gates has my favorite main cast and main town
>>722347473i didn't really like the fact that they put evolution in the cover but you can't actually evolve until the post-game
Evolving is a scam, explorers shouldn't do it.
>>722347473Very fun!
>>722377296Evolving is for ugly fat bastards such as myself, my lolis will remain lolis forever, however.
>>722362229still my favorite bit of PMD OC here
>>722359612This
>>722377296weird thing is, i wouldn't have mind as much if evolution didn't exist at all. But since it does yet so hard to obtain in a game where you fight god... yeah, the narrative dissonance is a bit too much for me.
>>722378314>have to defeat god in order to evolve
>>722347473These games are too childish to be enjoyable. I like mystery dungeon gameplay, but the story and writing are so awful.
>>722378625It's not that bad though I noticed quite a few plot holes when I last played Sky.
>>722366856Title? That sounds nice
>>722358284>but PMD gameplay sucksrelative to all other pokemon games?
>>722373127all they had to do was just not make your party auto-disband after every runthat's it
>>722378625yeah, it's REALLY bad at times. probably the worst instance of this is in crystal cave, where you're given an extremely simple puzzle and then the game has to go and spell out the solution directly in dialogue before you're even allowed to interact with it.
>>722347473The first time I played Explorers of Time, I'm a Treecko and really thought Sceptile is me from the future until I replayed and started with a different pokemon. I was really expecting Sceptile to change into a different mid evo starter depending on which pokemon you are.
>>722384662Fuck, I meant Grovyle.
ENTER
>>722347473Has the potential of being such a fantastic series far more then it is. Moves having actual areas and direction already make the game feel so much more interesting then the shitty normal game and there aren't that many non niche MD games that let the player have a wide variety of moves and abilities AND the ability to switch out the characters for others. In fact most other games that have this only do because they copied PMD.They also have the issue of needing the whole "babies can play it" mode. I don't mean just making the enemies harder I mean more complex features or puzzles knowing that kids will struggle. Imagine being able to completely configure your team's AI to exactly what you wanted? Imagine having more Sokoban like puzzles. Playing Sky with the basic rom hacks that let you control your whole party feels like something that should never be missing from any other PMD. One problem I hate is how these games get WAY to grindy in the post game. You want to do hard fun stuff but oops all the jobs on the boards today are shit. Oops the store has crappy items that don't help you. You end up doing essentially boring easy work over and over just to slowly build a pool of actual fun stuff to do. If you need certain TM's or evo items your fucked and need to hope for even more RNG. It turns the game into this kind of wiki game where you need to look up where to find shit as there's no way you'd stumble on all the stuff you want by yourself unless you played the game for years and years. The only other real problem with the games is that if you played it in your childhood there's like a 50% chance it will corrupt your brain and turn you into a huge furry. Something about being turned into a cool yet sex monster breaks your horny adolescent mind. Well it did for me anyway.
>>722366065Yes, of course. Same thing happened with the first one.https://youtu.be/N_zOeL0ldBY?si=EBYxHFUnvpeCOSy5Fucking christ. It still gets me today.
>>722385404I really don't get how this game turns you into a furry. It's apparently common enough to become a stereotype but it makes no fucking sense to me. The story is played completely straight and there's absolutely nothing like romance, with the closest being you two "adopting" a Manaphy.I really don't get it.
>>722347473good game with good music
>>722385404>>722386707It's more a wake-up call to people that are already degenerates and prone to turning anything into a hentai.
>>722386707>Turned into Pokemon>Meet partner that is your best friend>Get strong and save the worldIts just basic isakai fantasies but with the premise of you turning into a Pokemon at its core. It might start of as an innocent self insert thing, but that can easily lead to more degenerate stuff later on.
>>722369238One thing I love about PMD is the fact they get these real characters associated with that evo forever. I already liked Grovyle's design but now everyone associates him with this cool character as well.
My main problem with these games is that they don't let you evolve yourself and your partner until after the postgame story. When I played Sky I formed a whole new party and pretended that the main duo were missing or something to explain why this new guild was taking their place. I just wanted to use some evolved Pokemon
>>722388171>a decent chunk of people just look at Chatot and think "jew"Grim.
>>722389343>PMD players think of him as a jew>mainline players remember when you would record screaming nigger He's a cool pokemon too, it's a shame. At least Spinda gets the cool association of being a bartender.
>>722389913spinda also has oodles of raw sexual charisma
>>722357176I'm not a furry but I'm not normal. So I guess you're right
>>722347473It's an absolute delight and had an actual impact on me playing it when I was younger. It's not truly perfect, both in terms of gameplay and writing, but it's just a really enjoyable experience long as you don't fail to click with the gameplay side.Still think a sequel could have gone even further in the right hands, but it just never quite happened. Super got the closest for me, but felt like it was doubling down on this game's flaws at times on top of having its own specific issues. The real shame is that they would probably struggle to ever match this one's story with how The Pokémon Company has gotten even more market-clean nowadays than they were in the DS era. Some main game choices keep me from losing all hope in that regard, but on that same note the spin-offs have felt like they've gotten even more kiddy overall in the past decade. Even ones I'd call good like New Snap or possibly that Ditto game next year still fall into the trap.
>>722386707it just awakens tendencies you already have, desui was already crushing on nonhumans before i played pmd and when i did play it things kinda just clicked in my brain
DUDE i just LOVE the hustle and bustle of Treasure Town, it’s so DYNAMIC and makes me feel like i’m in one of my favorite VIDEOGAMES. you should totally come on down to my guild rooms, it’s got EXPOSED HAY BEDS and everything, we can crack open a nice hoppy Gummi drink or three and get crazy watching Ludicolo dance! and dude, dude, DUDE, we have GOTTA go down to Spinda's Bar- listen here, right, it’s a BAR where us ADULTS who do ADULTING can go DRINK. BUT!!!! it’s also got GACHA PULLS like when we were kids, so we can get awesome SCARVES, without dumb kids bothering us. speaking of which Eevee and i have finally decided to tie the knot- literally -we’re both getting matching scarves tomorrow at the Kecleon Shop, that way we can save money on our order to spent more on ourselves and our ADOPTED MANAPHY. i’m fuckin JACKED man, i’m gonna SLAM this Gummi shake and have Spinda pour me another one!!!

>>722391140I can't tell if this is ironic or not, but if it's the former then none of this is wrong. Yeah, you got to use imagination on tying the knot, but if you really want to go that route there's nothing in the game that goes against it.

>>722396184hell yeahEver since I played that game I wanted to be a ranger more than a trainer. Hanging out with pokemon, solving practical problems, asking small favors from wild pokemon without actually capturing them. It felt like a part of the world we never got to see in the mainline games.
Worst spinoff game coming through!
>>722396184I played the first game and that game was brutal. Had casual filter pokemon up the ass>>722396443Shit fucking taste.
>>722396184>tfw got this and explorers of time christmas 2008absolute kino, i liked both of them at the time but it wasn't until years later when i actually appreciated them fully
Having JUST NOW replayed Special Episode 5, I think I've come around on the bait and switch. Yes, it would've been a damn perfect tragedy if they had all properly disappeared and that was the end, but that last earnest exclamation of Grovyle sells it for me.>Do you hear me, Anon? We're still alive!!Everybody has their own idea of what each character sounds like so I respect some wouldn't like it, but if they made a proper remake for this game and shelled out for some good voice acting in the cutscenes, a VA selling that line from a tired Grovyle who's been literally fighting as long as he's been alive would change people's minds. I truly believe it.
>>722396184This is the best in the gameplay department because actual fucking action combat, even if it is kinda simple. But Mystery Dungeon beats it in the story and adventure department, even if Mystery Dungeon requires a vivid imagination sometimes.
>>722347473It's the only Mystery Dungeon game I've played (and admittedly I didn't really check out the post-game stuff at all) but I really enjoyed it. A Pokemon game with a story I actually cared about? Unbelievable. Also the music slaps

What Pokemon do you want to see playable in the hypothetical next MD entry?
>>722396182I'm tired of seeing artists putting cookies on foxes...
>>722399591I'd expect all the recent starter mons plus some shillmon classics like Riolu and...what are some newer gen ones that are also first stage? Gimmighoul? Pawmi? Probably Lechonk. All of them fit the bill for what TPC would want and I'd hate them all. Tinkatink as a partner might be cool though. For what I'd personally want, maybe go back a few generations and put in Litwick and Goomy. Sirfetch'd maybe as a left field inclusion. Unfortunately the choosable pokemon tend to be restricted to "cute and/or bipedal".
>>722347473What are the advantages of Sky over the duel versions, Darkness and maybe Time, I don't remember? Is Sky like the enhanced version?
>>722400372The first and most obvious is that every pokemon is available for recruitment. It also has multiple post-game and bonus missions, which flesh out some of the side characters quite a lot. There are some gameplay enhancements like Spinda's Cafe which lets you turn gummis into better drinks and get new missions. A bunch of other minor changes like easier storing/withdrawing, just check the bulbapedia page for all the changes. Just make sure that if you start a new Sky save, say YES when it asks you if you've played before. It doubles your capture rate on certain pokemon. Don't fucking ask why.
>>722400372Additional main game content and several unlockable side stories that expand on the other characters in the game.
>>722400372Explorers of Sky maked the literal dogfuckers harder than Time and Darkness.
>>722400854>literal dogfuckersthe who now?
>>722401026The target audience of those games.
>>722401639Knot me.
>>722401723Shut up!
>>722400854man i just wanna be a treecko is that so bad
>>722396182>Riolu MC with a Vulpix partnerGay. I run Eevee MC with a Vulpix partner
>>722380597Oh shit the thread is still up sorry for forgetting to respond. Its called The Bright Future. It's a good hack. Not too long either
>You should kill yourself NOWWhat did she and the devs mean by this?
>>722404000I am still traumatized by how shit of a partner Eevee was in this game. Yeah just fucking run away, why don't you
>>722384662I had the same experience. It was honestly kind of a weird choice to use an evolved starter as such a major character in the story, though I imagine they were looking for a pokemon that could appear both thieving and heroic, while also serving as a mentor role to the players, and all of that would have would have narrowed the list of choices down quite a lot to begin with. Like I don't think a pokemon like Heracross or whatever would have the same impact in the role. Maybe something like Zangoose would have also worked. Or maybe they could just let the treeckofags be confused and not give a shit.
>>722404000I do the exact same thing but the other way around.
>>722406582>I do the exact same thing but the other way around.so you respond and the thread falls off the catalog? must be rough
>>722347473what are the chances of a DX remake on Switch 2? the rescue team one did really well iirc
Why the fuck is it so expensive? It's just le hidden gem syndrome again, isn't it?
>>722407339Mobile games make far more money as has been said multiple times in this thread, there’s no incentive to do it. Also wasn’t the rescue team remake shit? Preformed well or not I doubt anyone wants to see it ruined with a shitty remake too
>>722407703I don't think Sky sold a lot actually. Being le hidden gem definitely makes it worse though.Honestly if you really want a physical copy of this shit just buy Time or Darkness. They're dirt cheap and you don't miss that much from not playing Sky. Or just emulate it.
