7th gen was when there were still generational leaps within a few years. This is an image between the 360 and the PS5 version but the PC version at the time had this kind of difference. I remember feeling cheated by playing mass effect on 360 first.

I loved the online in that splinter cell game. Thats double agent right? The spies vs mercs in that was really fun. And I played on PS3 back when fucking nobody had a ps3 in the first year so I always met the same guys and I would meet the same guys in other games like rainbow 6 vegas. Early PS3 online was fun as there was so few people playing.

As a kid I really wanted a PS3 because it had all those cool media features that I thought I'd want as an adult. Plus the price tag made it seem more premium than it was. I remember being blown away by it when my friend's older brother got one. But I was a Wii60 guy. It was the first console I bought with my own money though after I got a job in 2011. At that point it had some decent games and the ability to play some PS1 games digitally on it made it a really nice system.
I had it and it sucked a fat cock. Ran Street fighter 4 slower and Bayonetta was gay poo on it. MGS4 sucked an phat cock. Demons Souls and Tokyo Jungle and Wipeout were the only good things.

7th Gen was so good we are still living in its shadow. Skyrim and Dark Souls are still talked about like they came out yesterday. Grand Theft Auto V is still relevant and updated. Left 4 Dead 2 is still populated. Dead Space was (badly) remade and well received. Say what you want about it, but Call of Duty is still riding that Call of Duty 4 success. Nier is iconic, more now that it was at the time when it came out on 360.I've seen people try very very hard to make it seem awful by focusing on anything else besides the crazy amount of high quality games that were dropping every other week, whether they be original ideas or polished 6th gen concepts, but none of that should fucking matter. It's all about the games.
