The 360 was the actual "next step" from the PS2. So many PS2 games ended up getting 360 era sequels as well as PS2 ports of classics. The power jump was also more seamless than PS2 to PS3, which felt like a colossal jump forward. The PS3 in a way was more of a PS4 with the 360 being the actual PS3.

>>738148361Games ran better and looked better on the 360 than they did on the PS3 though you fucking retard
>>738148361its true in a way, best 360 games feel like something from the ps2>Dead Rising being a spiritual successor to Shadow of Rome>Saints Row 1/2 being the wacky GTA clone ala San Andreas>Ace Combat 6>Lost Odyssey
360 is the only "next gen" console of that era.ps3 was hardly next gen. it had half the ram of 360. it didn't even have unified shaders gpu. it was using last gen nvidia while 360 had next gen ati.

PS3 and 360 were the same. Games just ran better on the 360.360 and PS3 were both too little to early. Games were downgraded a lot or cancelled because of them. And the 6x to 12x more pixels didn't help either. In fact that degraded games so much the 12x performance increase over the Xbox was just jaw dropping, not unbelievable. The Switch is about as powerful as a 360. Switch 2 as powerful as a PS4. So modern games could probably still be ported to the 360. Especially at very low resolutions. That getting the most out of a system looks good too. Feels good. Prioritization of what matters.PS2 was a POS. The next step from a PS2 was an Xbox, which was 3x more powerful by the common metric of flops. Xbox was the first time games looked truly great. Though SotC was good for it's sense of scale and everything feeling made for the engine.
