How much fun will og Dragons Dogma be for someone who has never played it before?
It's shit
That depends, what kind of games do you normally like, anon?
>Everyone i know that has played Dragon's Dogma stops after the pawn guildJust get past the filter and you'll enjoy yourself.
>>738154750Lmfao isnt that like 20 minutes in? What the fuck
>>738154390If you like dungeon crawlers, it's great. If you don't, you'll hate it. There's no reason not to play Dark Arisen. Just mod Into Free back into the title screen.
It's one of those games that you'll either put 2 or 200 hours in, nothing in between.
>>738154390It's a rare game where you go on Adventures with a capital A. One of a kind that will stick with you forever. >>738154750Also this. Look around! There's shit to do everywhere!
>>738154390It's mid, it does almost nothing well. Combat, story, writing, quest design, balancing, bossfights, world design, interactivity, reactivity, etc are all mediocre. The dungeon crawling and semse of adventure are mildly engaging but hampered big time by the combat that is generally awful, poor balancing, and just a host of jank and technical issues
>>738154390I enjoyed it because I just really like grand action RPG adventures, but even then the execution is poor and at best it feels like missed potential.
>>738154390Start here, then play part 2 so you'll know why part 2 is shit.
>>738154390it's like dark souls but not much like itit's also like monster hunter but not too muchI think you'll like it if you tend to enjoy games
>>738154390it is fun if you enjoy old games that kinda feels incomplete so you wish they would flesh out things more
>>738154390dont start on hard. it is for ng+, unless you want to have a shitty early game experience
>>7381543908/10 at best needs lock on and a less boring world ive tried to get into it multiple times
>>738154390unplayable janky dogshit until until the precise moment that it "clicks", then it becomes pure unsurpassed kinofor me, I had to try the game 5 separate times before it clicked
It clicked for me after the 3rd tine and became one of my favorite games. It’s the only game that gives me that distinct “adventure” feeling, despite playing many crpgs and more casual rgps. I have no idea why.
>>738156427And once it clicks, that's it. It's got you. You replay it at least once a year and put one more link in the chain.
>>738154390It's my favorite open-world beat'em'up game
>>738154390I tried 2h warrior and assassin, never beat the game as either. I came back 14 years later and tried the Mage for the first time, oh fuck the DEATH MACHINE you become once you get the big long girthy spells. 10/10 goated
>>738157142The girth of Sorcerer is too much power for some
>>738154390Best 5 bucks I ever spent
I had a lot of fun with Dragon's Dogma when I first played it a few years ago, but I recognize that I have horrible mindgoblins and couldn't get into Skyrim probably just because of the first person camera.
>>738157448>probably just because of the first person camera. Both games are nothing alike really
I thought it was very captivating but I didn't really feel like doing the post game, still worth a cool 20 hours
>>738154390High probability of having a blast.
>>738154390the first few hours of the game isnt great but once it gets going its amazing
