If Kris still has his own soul then he wouldn't struggle to move without ours. His soul is gone or altered by us being in him.People saying his hand is gone currently and replaced are off the mark. It's forshadowing that he will lose it. While there are a lot of references to a missing hand we haven't learnt about anything strange with his hand currently, i.e. Toby has chosen to not describe anything strange with Kris's current hand.
