To get the game to its current state of chaos they had to stage a whole series of catastrophies both small and major (animals escaping from big mt, powder gangers escaping, Legion making it impossible fro NCR to police, etc). Once you start building up a civilization it's just normal-land in some alternate future. Cars, drugs, jobs, bank accounts, etc. It's just America.Now my thinking is they just avoid it by setting games on frontiers forever.
