it was a lot of fun. in retrospect, both the ps1 and n64 versions had their shortcomings. technical limitations obviously, and dont want to say it "aged poorly" because i think even at the time i could identify the jankiness.
thps3 is when tech and polish combined into an experience that didnt feel stunted.
but still love venice more than any other thps level

akshually revisiting it and it's kinda disappointing, school and venice are so iconic in my mind and they're still fun but then the skate park competitions are boring and too easy, warehouse is a barren tutorial, nyc is just ok and then philly is shit
it's also awkward because if you're into scoring it added manual but still lacked reverts so it feels so limited
thps1 feels more unique because it had downhill courses where scoring was a bit more challenging and it gave the game a better sense of pacing, whereas thps2 just feels outdone by the sequels
