Has a video game ever made you cry?
no, I don't play gachas and look at my bank account afterwards
This NPC is a blatant attempt (one of many) by Blizzard's incompetent quest developers to recapture the magic of Legion's Runas the Shamed questlinecoincidentally enough it's shameless
If you cry at anything by the commies who write WoW you are mentally retarded and need to be sterilized.
>>719304291>>719304298soulless demons
I cried during the MGS3 ending. I also cried during FF6, FF8, FF9, FF10, Shadow of the Colossus, Lost Odyssey, Pentiment, Cyberpunk 2077, Teaching Feeling, Katawa Shoujo, Tsukihime, Fate/stay Night, Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2, Underwater Ray Romano, Undertale, MGS4, MGS5 and probably some other games too.
I cried at the end of Pathfinder WOTR because I realized I just wasted so much of my life playing that dogshit game.
>when the crew was depressed because they had to fight their own comrade Made me feel. Also the song didn't help. And the screams, god, the screams.
Probably the only time I've cried to a video game and I cry quite a lot
>>719304198I wish. What game could possibly make a person cry?
>>719304198Finishing a really really good game after playing 3 terrible ones in a row almost made me cry of how good it was and how hope is not lost for games, and no I won't tell what game you'll have to find it yourself
>>719304198Yes, one of them was in the shadowlands oddly enough, where you spend the day doing stupid pranks and other random tasks with a fairy, who wanted to spend her last day with you before she gave her life and became an object to power up the faction altar.
>>719304198Yeah.
>>719304198I think so but I don't remember which and why it did, so it doesn't really matter does it?
Yes
>>719304198Real men cried to Mankriks wife not that gay bullshitin TWW
>>719304634shoo shoo troon
>>719304198>crying at vidya>crying at allbunch of faggots, grown ass men shouldn't cry at all
>>719306737Yeah faggot time to go play more war zone and marvel rivals and bitch about the industry
>>719307108Voting with wallet doesn't work. There's too much normies as consumers now.
>>719304198I tend to cry when I finish a really good game. Most recent example was Stranger of Paradise, absolute 10/10 masterpiece.
Metal Gear Solid 4
Expedition 33. Alicia holding the Esquie plush. I don't tear up easily in games, really got into this one
>>719309115It's how democracy works tard.
>>719309325frank sinatra drop went apocalyptic.
N-no....
>>719304198yes, but not from stuff like worlowhat gets me is the artistry behind certain scenes, the ludonarrative behind it, the immersion and so onI've cried at the end of stuff like kirby 64 and the misadventures of tron bonne, but listening to a sad story about a sad dwarf in the middle of a random zone in an MMO does nothing for me
>>719310042also this motherfucker gets me every single time
>>719304198That was a beautiful quest, sadly the only one I can think of in this expansion. I've often criticized that their writing is often stuck between cosmic threats and the silliest shit imaginable, exemplified perfectly with the void and the goblins this time.
You're all forgetting you played LiS1. I saw what you did.
>>719304198No iv felt emotional over scenes but if you actually cry tears playing a video game your a bitch that cant separate reality from fiction.
Once. The parting glass was a cliché but perfect choice for this scene.
>>719304198E33's ending got me
>>719310464>that cant separate reality from fiction. This is just a refusal to engage with the media in a genuine way, everyone is aware that fiction is just that, but what fiction does is attempt to portray a real feeling through a fake situation. What you're saying is that you can't empathize with a hypothetical, or are afraid of doing so for some reason.
>>719304198No, I'm not gay.
>>719304198The onyl time I’ve ever cried from a videogame was in shadow of the colossus when agro saves wanders life because she knows she won’t make it to the end of the collapsing bridge so she bucks him off and falls
>>719309781And that's the problem too, majority is uneducated so they always vote for the most populist solutions harming themselves in the long run
>>719304198I hated this quest line. >old guy has dedicated his life to tending a gravesite, with the expectation he will be interred in it when he dies, which is soon>his apprentice hates the graveyard because tradition bad>she waits for him to lose his mind to dementia and then gaslights him into dying alone on a beach instead of with his preddcessors, unaware of his original wishes >she is now in charge of every person who's intending to go to said graveyard
>>719304198I stopped playing wow after G'hunn, quick rundown ?
>>719311019See>>719310978
>>719311019>robot dwarves called the Earthen live forever by restoring themselves at a machine>Machine has been inoperable for a really long time>Earthen slowly shutting down>this questline is about the final day of this senile Earthen as he loses all his functions and decides to settle down on a beach he likes
I cried at the end of ME3 (unpatched), and Portal 2 for some reason
>>719310978What the fuck is wrong with blizzard writers? That's horrible.
>>719304198cried during thisdon't know whyi'm pathetic i knowseeing fans being permanently included as canon parts of the universe they love made me feel somethingeven though i wasn't in there
>>719304198You didn't seriously cry over these poorly written, poorly voice acted nothing dwarves "dying" did you?
>>719310042As I've gotten older, I tear up at the things that I see as iconic, genre defining.>DQ IV's Overture. I remember playing DQ games and then this hits. All the that work that created something so lasting. >Flock-Step on Rhythm Heaven Fever. When It says "Keep Marching!" ,"You Can Do It!" "Just a Little More".>The Meteorite Song from Puppet History. Song about trying to stay optimistic in the face of your end.Maybe its because I'm becoming an ancientfag. I've developed an appreciation for the legacies of others in face the of the inevitable end. And I'm sad that I haven't finsihed setting mine up.
>>719310978Typical, and even worse Women pilled. so glad I stopped playing this game.
>>719310978>This is a positive story according to progressive writersPure evil.
>>719311131Yeah, I cried at how bad ME3s ending was too.
>>719309928I probably replayed this game over 5 times now and the last time I did I still teared up.
>>719311103He doesn't decide shit, his apprentice finds him wandering in a daze and tells him to go to the beach.
Short steps.Deep breaths.Everything will be... alright.
>The Nightborne owe you a debt we can NEVER repay, anon-kun. You are our foremost and staunchest ally.>So we're not going to try to pay it. Instead, we're going to join the Horde. Don't go to Teldrassil tomorrow, some of you guys are alright.
Bioshock 2
>>719311503I mean it sucks but at least they bothered to put in tyrande turning their application to the alliance down, lightforged draenai are literally "thanks for helping us kill satan but those guys look like us so i guess we turn that light gun you helped build on your people now"
>>719311503lmao I remember the SEETHE that came from this was legendary from both sides, the Alliance were pissed they lost a cool race and the Horde was pissed because they didnt get the cool withered Elves they wanted. But lowkey though they were right, it would've been WAY cooler if they stayed like this permanently but were no longer suffering.
>>719304298>are mentally retarded and in all likelyhood sterilized yourself with HRTftfy.
>>719304198Persona 5 made me tears at the end because I realized I have no friends and how better my life would've been if I had some
>>719304198I've never had a "full on outburst from crying" kind of moment, but I've got teary from emotional overload a few times. In no particular order:>Persona 3 and 4 endings>picrel>To the Moon>Expedition 33>Valiant Hearts>Shadow of the Colossus>Metal Gear Solid 3>Valkyria Chronicles (the first game, twice)
>>719311702Crack addict thalysra grew on me, totally would've.
>>719311853>picrelFuck, wrong image.Meant to post this
>>719311234I get you anon, DQ's overtures are like a jackhammer to the tear ducts for me
>>719304198InscryptionWe dont need to keep score
>>719305683what about when you finish a game so bad you're reminded of the hundreds of videogames you've played in your life and how much you love those experiences
>>719311702>cool withered Elves they wantedNobody wanted themThey wanted the cool versions of Nightborne, not the crack versionInstead we got reskinned night elves
i cry but no game has ever made me cry, maybe out frustration but not emotioni avoid playing story games, rpgs and movie games though
>>719304198Silent Hill 2 (Mary's letter), last boss of Okami, MGS3 debriefing, Infamous 2 (Half as long, twice as bright), and Disco Elysium (cryptid)
>>719304198Endwalker, this cutscenes, this particular quote. The entire finale was fantastic, but this one completely destroyed me.
>>719304198yeah I'm sure the dilation process is very painful, wowsister
>>719304198No, I've never cried at fiction because I'm not a high E faggot.
>>719304198>Think about it for a couple of seconds>realise the plinths and the caretaker exists for a reason and it's going to be hours tops before the sands shift under him and he spends the rest of eternity face down in the water>get angrier at the bitch who told him to die there than I was before
