Doesn't soften in motion anymore. Minimal artifacting. Backported to the last 4 gens. Real rendered frames, so decreases input lag as well.

What's the counterargument? If you hate it, then what do you use in modern games?

You will never have real frames.
You will never be a woman.
>>
It's twice as expensive as DLSS2/3 on older hardware
>>
It's not perfect but it's the best option we have right now, especially for anti aliasing (DLAA), it's superior to ever current reasonable anti aliasing solutions (MSAA is no longer viable today).

I don't play that shit.

FSR4.
Switched from 2070S to 9070XT and DLSS is no longer a reason to buy a GPU

DLAA is acceptable if you're playing on native resolution of your monitor, from what I've tried. Fake resolution and hallucinated frames are not.

Lowers resolution on recorded footage

I am using a 32" 4K screen, which is probably why I don't see much issue with DLAA. I have motion blur off usually and still don't see ghosting, and I'm not sure if that usually even happens with DLAA.
If I play 1440p DLSS'd up to 4K then I start seeing some ghosting in games. Glad I don't have to do that though for many games.

FSR4 is a valid substitute, I'll admit. Not quite as good but leagues better than shit like FSR2. Just having to tinker with Optiscaler is annoying.

AI is evil and should not be used in any capacity.
>>

Changing your input resolution to 66% will not change the ghosting much, unless you go into REALLY subhuman input res like 30%. Changing your model or render preset has a much bigger impact on temporal afterimages than input resolution.

My fake 4k resolution looks noticeably better than your native 1440p DLAA. The truly embarrassing part is that it runs better than your native 1440p DLAA as well.

Looks awfully pixelated when occlusion issues happens, and they happens all the time on any games but especially fast 3rd person games. It also look pixelated when resolving thinner details, like hairs, on higher upscaling levels.
Performance cost is very noticeably higher too, and it becomes harder to hit truly higher framerates.
You still need to force negative lod bias on many games so texture clarity isn't destroyed.
On crazy fast action game it just look worse than DLSS3 in motion, even at 4K Quality mode.
DLAA is also broken for DLSS4 last time I checked. If you force 90% scale on DLSS then yeah sure DLSS4 is fine, but using that as antialiasing alone it's extremely demanding. And it still has wierd bleeding issues inbetween occluded stuff (such as your character's outline vs the background)

This doesn't exist. It's all interpolation like your TV did a decade ago, don't fall for nvidia's lies.

Good thing DLSS has nothing to do with ai then.
>b-but Nvidia sai-
Oh so now you decide to believe them?
DLSS is nothing more than a finetuned TAAU algorithm and the llm is used for correction only. The majority of the upscaling process is done through dumb jittering tricks that Unreal was already doing way before nvidia introduced DLSS, heck it was actually a digital camera technique used for decades.
I agree with you fundamentally though, but dlss or framegen isn't ai, hell FSR FG look the same as Nvidia fg and AMD isn't even pretending that it's using ai, because you don't need that for interpolation at all.

Now Reflex 2 is actually using generative fill, yes, that's really ai.

AI is just a corporate buzzword right now, no such thing as an intelligent autonomous system. it's just like you said, what people colloquially call AI is just complex algorithms
>>
>>719316849
It can have issues with volumetric effects and disocclusion, it actually regressed in those areas compared to the previous model. It's like it's trying to retain too much detail and it leads to overaccumulation that lingers for too long.

However when all is said and done DLSS4 is just way better than anything else. DLAA if you're at 1080p, DLSSQ at 1440p, and any mode at 4k honestly. At 4k even Performance now looks better than 4K TAA. Only competitive rendering tech is FSR4 but barely anyone can use that.

I've always used all the fake frames© tools to get a bunch of performance, even frame generation.
What do i do to no get bothered by it?
By not using a monitor right on my face, i use a LG C1 as a gaming/watching monitor and it stays on top o my regular internet browse/computer using ultrawide one.
That distance with it it's all that it takes to make these upscaling shit perfect, i love it, it's straight up free performance.
Also i use a controller whenever i can, keyboard+mouse only for FPS, RTS and the likes.
