I liked the season 1 and was honestly surprised by s2's quality. Like I am actually enjoying it. Some of the car fights could've been done better, as there's a lot of shooting with little effect, but the writing is charming and I love that they actually went full on with the magical element of the games.

For anyone who cares, the show version of Marcus "Needles" Kane was a child actor on an icecream-themed sitcom. His mother divorced his dad, Charlie Kane, a taxi driver from New York, and took custody of Marcus. She remarried to some dipshit and the two neglected him. His show was declining in popularity, so they added a dog to the cast, ala Urkel. Marcus hated being upstaged by a dog, and they even rebranded the show to have the dog, Billy, as the main character. One day, Marcus snapped while live on set. He grabbed a knitting needle and killed the dog in front of a studio audience, earning the infamous nickname "Needles" Kane. He was sent to Blackfield Asylum, and seethed with even more jealousy after learning that the dog's funeral overshadowed his trial on the news.Some time after the apocalypse he stole his old show's ice cream truck, Sweet Tooth, tracked down his mom and step-dad, and locked them into his old Blackfield cell until they starved to death. Seems like vehicles are considered to have infinite height, like enemies in Doom, or at least much greater height than they actually have, so shots from MSlaughter's guns will still hit short cars even if you're right in front and they'd logically go over the top. The actual HORIZONTAL position of the guns matters, though- in pic related, only half of all the gunfire hit because the gun on the driver's side of Manslaughter hits, but the one on the passenger side misses because it's too far to the side, and on most of the vehicles that have two miniguns, they alternate left-right-left-right as you shoot. Did you ever notice that the machine gun trails in TMB look just like the nailgun muzzle flash in Quake? I didn't.

I want to like the games so bad, I tried revisiting Black a game I played with a friend all the time, tried single player and goddamn, it sucks having to drive around getting all these powerups only to focus on spamming someone, before retreating for health rinse and repeat.Even tried the Original PS1 first one, and it felt similar.
