I think Chainsaw Man is the shonen that truly stitched the disconnect between my current-day self and my kid self. Part 2 has been a letdown so far, but Part 1 is still fun all the way through and it’s definitely worth its reputation.
Live everyone has been saying since the dawn of time. You'll waste most of your money to get the license and not have enough in the budget to make the game or the license fee itself will kill your profits and you'll have to sell a ridiculous amount to break even. Remember how ludicrous the Spider-Man 2 leak was for the licensing fee. I'm sure it's not as crazy for other licenses but it's probably not that far off and how many hoops you have to go through. Then there's the constant back-and-forth of getting approvals for everything. They are trying to maintain their brand which also comes with limitations of what you can or can't do. That's why most licensed things are just cameos in other games. It's a lot less of a hassle since you just have to 3d model a character or skin in a game and make a promo video and you don't have to think of radical gameplay changes. This is why the fortnite model is so prevalent.
