>wanna play game(multiplayer) on steam>the price is too high so waited for a sale to buy it>the moment there's finally a sale the devs announced a sequel soon so the game is basically obsolete why the fuck do they do this?
just don't be poor :/
>>719332616>multiplayerit's your own fault for wanting to play cancer. also as long as the servers are up there's no problem unless you have some FOMO bullshit like a child.
>>719332789>sequel is just the original game but with a bigger roster>now everyone is gone except hyper, 3000+ hour autists who stays because they wanna play their broken character that got nerfed in the new one
>want to play multiplayer>don't already have a friend interested in the multiplayerHow often do you buy valentine chocolates?
>>719332926isn't this the part where people will tell you to git gud??? you have to adapt to a game's meta, no matter what it is. you think the new game won't have broken characters that those same 3000+ hour autists won't be aware of and won't have already used to great effect to beat normalfags and casuals into submission? I fail to see the problem here.
>>719333101The new game would have people with the same amount of skills as me and I would be able to play the game and learn by fighting other noobs without spending a whole year in training mode
>>719333231sure but the same would be true for the old game depending on how old (and popular) it is. don't most games these days do "skill based matchmaking" anyway? so you'd supposedly be playing against other players whose skill is close to your own, no?
>>719333350Then it would take 10 minutes to even get a match that may just be against a smurf because everyone hops onto the new game.If i had played the game since launch and had fully enjoyed it, that's reasonable, but I had just bought the damn thing...
>>719333479what game?
>>719333607Basically any fighting game
>>719333663a lot of fighting games have dedicated playerbases these days. pretty sure people are still playing tekken 7 for example, even though tekken 8 has been out for a while. the same is probably true for street fighter, soul calibur, etc. plus if you git gud at one game a lot of the skills you learn are transferable to the sequel so whenever you decide to pick it up at least you won't be totally starting from scratch.
>>719333824>people are still playing tekken 7Really? Cause this thread is half about how it.
>>719333898maybe not a lot of players but it's hardly nothing.
>>719334068>800 playersAnon...
>>719334231well it's not like 50 players. what number would you consider to be healthy? it only ever had an all-time peak of 18k. if that's true then the game was a fucking flop compared to fortnite or whatever it is kids play these days.
>>719334676A fighting game only needs 2 people to have a functional match.Maintaining consistent concurrent player counts in the hundreds is pretty good
