Hope you like reading because thats where most of the fun will come from.The combat almost feels like an auto battler. You prepare your build and then the game just sort of plays itself because 90% of combat happens offscreen with the computer calculating dice rolls and stat checks for you.

Put the HOMM minigame on easy(putting it on automatic removes some rewards you get through it), download bubblebuffs and you're good to go.

Furthermore once you get Enduring Spells you'll flat out be immune to literally every status effect in the game.The HoMM Clone can and should be modded out. Combat Relief lets you enjoy the benefits of it without having to deal with the tacked on minigame.Pre buffing is shit, yeah, no way around that. Enduring Spells and the Bubble Buff mod make it less painful though.The combat is fun imo. I love leveling up and seeing my build evolve over time to become more and more powerful. Granted I've always been a combatfag in RTWP games so I may be a little biased here.
