Is this worth playing?
>>
if you like then sure
>>
Yeah, sure. Great atmosphere, they really nailed the weeb-powerfantasy. Combat is fun albeit shallow, world is beautiful albeit very big and empty. The open world aspect can be detrimental to the overall enjoyment. Story is great, a good amount of cool missions.
>>
>>719342431
wide as an ocean, thin as a puddle.
there is literally 6 hours of content that they stretch into 200 hours.
avoid all side slop, play the main quest and you've seen it all
>>
>>719342431
Only if you are 13. Otherwise it will get old after 3-4 hours and you realize you still have 100 Haikus to compose - 1000 springs to visit - 20000 towns to liberate - and a million foxes to follow.
>>
>>719342431
Modern assassin's creed with less content and better presentation.
>>
>>719342794
Assassin's creed is more interesting because of the scifi stuff. Ghost is kinda generic samurai thing
>>
there are 3 mission types that they repeat a 1000 times, hoping you dont notice because of the pretty graphics
>>
I pirated it and was disappointed.

It feel like Witcher 3 but with awful writing and simplistic quest designee.
the interesting characters, plot, writing, ect was replaced with collecting tokens and trinkets.
>>
>>719342431
Eh. It wears thin after the first act
>>
>>719342431
it's ok, probably one of the more polished Sony AAA open world games but it is generally very derivative.

>I pirated it
then who cares what you think, faggot
>>
>>719342431
Basically a less pozzed version of Assassin's Creed.
>>
>>719342605
The Iki Island DLC was a lot better about density, environmental variety, and traversal tools. I'm hoping Ghost of Twoshima takes more from that than the base game.
>>
>>719343586
>strong women everywhere
>male leader is a short-sighted idiot
the only difference is there wasn't an irrelevant darkie on the cover
>>
>>719342431
Yes but only if you are a massive weeb and have relatively high tolerance for girlboss roasties with manjaws because this game has a lot of them.
For me it was worth it for the atmosphere
>>
>>719342781
i skipped all the side content after doing them once or twice, and just did the msq and some side quests on lethal. completionist mentality on open world games ruins the experiences for most people
>>
>>719343750
Are you trying to imply Assassin's Creed is less pozzed that Ghost of Tsushima?
>>
>>719343750
Damn near every dude in fighting condition got mulched on the beach in the opening cutscene, no shit there's mostly women leading the various clans and families.
>>
>>719342431
Decent 7/10
>>
>>719343850
I'm implying they're on the exact same level of slop
>>
Have you played far cry 3 or any following that? Have you played any recent assasins creed game? It's open world exactly like those games, very formulaic
>>
>>719343850
Original AC yeah for sure
nuAC not so much
>>
>>719343853
let me kill Tomoe you rat fuck
>>
I thought it was great, played on Lethal and did pretty much all of the content. The main quest isn't that good, but there's a lot of great storylines and they do a good job establishing a sense of place without urgency. It's not a game that will yell at you to stop for a new attraction every 3 steps. It only marks things on your map after you come across them, it's perfectly happy to let you miss out on stuff if you're not into completionist stuff.
If you tend to like "emptier" open worlds, you'll have a good time.
The DLC is the only part I genuinely don't recommend, it's really bad.
>>
>>719342431
Yes, play it on hard even if its the first time
Just avoid the sequel with the goblina
>>
>>719343963
I'm damn sure that if the game had actually had the Infamous moral choice system between Samurai and Ghost that it started with, that would've been an option.
>>
>>719343968
I'm shocked you didn't like the DLC, for me it was by far my favorite part of the game and made the rest of the game feel like a bit of a letdown afterwards. Were the higher rank enemies just horseshit on lethal even with the OP armor in that area?
>>
Ubisoft >>719343583
Pirates opinion are not influenced by Stockholm syndrome
>>
>>719342431
i prefer assassins creed 2 or infamous
>>
>>719344183
No, it wasn't particularly difficult at all, I just thought the story was stupid, the new content didn't feel new enough, too much rehashed, and the gameplay unlockables were both useless and worthless since there was no more content to the game after I finished the DLC.
You also do more damage on Lethal, so if you're decent at parrying I imagine it's actually easier than Hard, which is part of why it's so much fun. Love when the hardest mode buffs you as well, Critical Mode is fantastic.
>>
>>719342431
When was the last time you played an open world sword fighting game? If it's been a year or two it's worth mainlining the campaign and doing a few side things. If you've never really played them, take your time with the game. If you've played one recently, it'd be hard to recommend. It's a polished soulful ubislop game.
>>
>>719342781
I know we are all autists here but you are letting your autism cripple you. Just don't do the collecathon shit, retard
I liked the game a lot and only ever collected what I ran across while playing the story and side quests
>>
>>719344458
Interesting. I played it near the midpoint of Act 2 so I think it flowed better on a story level there, but your point about Lethal being easier than Hard also seems very plausible. I definitely don't love the idea of playing it again after beating Sekiro, that's for damn sure.

I wouldn't even consider myself an autist or a completionist.
I don't I've ever 100%ed a game. I never do the "collect 7000 feathers" or bullshit like that.
But everything one step above that I do.

That's part of why I liked KCD2. It had side quests and activities and some cool exploration but none of it felt repetitive or a waste of time.

Combat is fun when played on highest difficulty
Good gramphics
Ok story
Shitty open world that is quite annoying to 100%
Quest design has far too much "follow NPC while they talk to you" bits

I dont regret my time with it, but you should wait for a sale
>>
>>719344458
>when the hardest mode buffs you as well
Off topic but i've been playing Intravenous 2 lately and the True difficulty in that game does this to great effect
>>
>>719342431
Retroactively woke.
>>
>>719342431
Just wait for the sequel to come out, it looks like it's better in every way
>b-but v/pol/ told me it was LE WOKE
Stop falling for propaganda
>>
>>719345081
Never heard of it before, appreciate the recommendation.
>>
>>719347084
Its basically Hotline Miami with a greater focus on stealth (although run&gun is still very viable and the action music is pretty great)
Strong recommend

If you like Samurai films/TV, then definitely. The story has some really good moments with a few lame ones at times, such as setting up some big climax and not following through or giving you the illusion of choice. I find the combat really enjoyable. The visuals are spectacular and carry the game most of the time.
>>
I keep watching gameplay vids of the new one and the action looks way too over the top and comical now.
>>
>>719342431
Is there any depth, complexity, or difficulty to it, or is it just a "Ubisoft Open World" type where you breeze through everything, hide in bushes or on roofs 24/7, and effortlessly stealth kill 300 enemy outposts, like some videos make it seem?
>>
Pros:
Great looking world
Nice Parkour
Awesome Combat
Story is good

Cons
World is static
Can feel repetitive

I'll definitely play the sequel, I just hope on the next one as the you progress through the game the world changes too, literally all they had to do.
>>
>>719348752
nope. thats basically it, but you get to do it as a cool samurai
>>
>>719348752
Hardest difficulty basically necessitates some amount of stealth and knowing how to parry well - at least early on when you havent unlocked much of the skill tree.
But if you're quite familiar with action games then not much will give you trouble aside from the duelling bossfights - despite that I found it quite satisfying
>>
Fox shrines fucking suck
>>
>>719348478
I guarantee you a lot of the talent behind the first left between games, and the new one is just the systems from the first taken apart and reassembled in the clumsiest way possible.
>>
>>719350157
I think it may just be a sort of power creep in an attempt to outdo the first game. They uploaded gun gameplay yesterday and it just looks silly.

>>
>>719342431
Played it recently and found it okay-ish to good. Just don't go in expecting a stealth game like I did, the stealth mechanics feel very half-baked and even if you do get found out the ghost weapons are so strong they can get you out of most enemy encounters. Duels were fun though. Sensei Ichikawas storyline and conclusion was dogshit btw.
>>
>>719342431
yes. beautiful aesthetics, great atmosphere with a decent plot. the gameplay is fun for the entire time. the characters, while just about tolerable, are written by woke retards though, which is why i won't be touching ghost of yotei with a ten foot pole.
>>
>>719344968
>That's part of why I liked KCD2.
the other part is because you're a fag
>>
>>719348478
it's like they're trying to compete with Rise of the Ronin but forgot they're still westoids
>>
>>719350157
They didn't leave, they're working on the next game, a new IP, while a B team makes this sequel.
>>
>>719342431
yeah but you'll tire of it long before the end
>>
>>719354286
Well, that's effectively the same situation then.
