great movie but its actual meat, its philosphy, is incredibly fucking bleak and ugly.

I despise movies that depict biblical stuff as actualizing on earth and then also make it where the only force at play are the forces of Hell and they are undefeatable.

Hollywood LOVES this shit, I don't know if its intentional or its just memetic, but tons of movies have this setting THE most archetypical one was Hereditary, which even has the main demon be some Talmudic Top Demon/God as the focus.
